Endometrial Biopsy

Hey can anyone tell me about this and their results?

    I went to have one at the same time I had a sonohystagraphy. However I passed out from the pain. Doctor opted to wait until I had surgery (I had to get one if my fallopian tube removed) I can't give detail on the process, but the sono was not a pleasant experience. Wanted to share. I think the biopsy should go better alone with out the pressure from the sono.

    Gah!!! @ColeM91 - you have me terrified.... I'm doing both those in January. Although we already decided to put me under for the procedures because of a history of difficult transfers. We're anticipating pain/issues. 

    How was your recovery!!?!?!??

    Started TTC April 2011
    Me: 32, DH: 32
    Diagnosis: Endometriosis

    • 2012 - 3 Rounds clomid - all BFN
    • 2013 - 1 Fresh IVF with 2 day 3 embryos - BFN
    • 2014 - 1 Frozen IVF with 2 day 5 embryos - BFN
    • Took a long break, continuing trying naturally
    • Feb 2016 - Biopsy = Endo, DH sperm improved from 1% to 6% morphology
    • March 2016 - Fresh IVF cycle with acupuncture & intralipids: 20 eggs retrieved (17 mature), 7 ICSI'd fertilized, 9 naturally fertilized. 16 total embryos!
    • April 8th - 2 embryos (1ICSI and 1 Natural) transferred. (7 blastocysts frozen), April 18th - Beta = BFN
    • Sept 23rd - Lupron Depot Injection for Endo control
    • Nov 15th 2016 - Started daily Lupron Injections for upcoming FET
    • Nov 22 - Baseline US/BW - Intralipid Infusion - Start Meds for FET with immune protocol
    • Dec 16th FET transfer of 3 embryos (1 - AA, 2 - BB)
    • TW below
    • Dec 22nd - first ever bfp (very faint lines FRER & cheapie)
    • Dec 27th Beta = 192, Dec 29th Beta = 379
    • EDD - Sept 5th 2017

    @ColeM91 @oxinfree yikes! I'm having the SHG (sonohystogram) and biopsy at same time at the end of this week! I've had an SHG before and don't remember too much pain..but are bodies are all different. But I'll report back to let you know how it goes!

    Oh no I'm so sorry I don't mean to scare you. I had the one with the dye done years ago and didn't take the recommended Tylenol and almost passed out. So much pressure & pain. However both tubes were clogged. Fast forward to this summer I had the sono done. By God's grace I had a clear tube and one blocked tube. I do believe that is why I got the pain and pressure. The fluid has no where to spill out, creating cramping & pressure. Women that I spoke to said they never experienced what I did. I think it's from the blocked fallopian tube. I believe your experience should be quite different. Best of luck.

    @oxinfree I had the SHG and biopsy today at 10. I took my 2 antibiotics yesterday and one this morning at 9. I also took 2 Advil around 8:45. I think I was done in 20 minutes or less. The SHG was slightly crampy but biopsy was definitely a bad cramp for 30 seconds and then another one for another 30 seconds but then it was over. I have to continue my antibiotics tomorrow (2x a day) and then done. It will take a week to hear results from biopsy. But SHG looked ok. I'm nervous about endometriosis as a possibility.

    @purepositivity - well at least its over and done with I guess right!? Sorry it was crampy. Definitely not looking forward to mine. I too am worried about endo... fingers crossed for both of us!!! Glad the SHG looked good though... thats a positive right!? Keep me posted on results.
