6 weeks today :) and nauseous...

Hi everyone! I'm ashley, 6 weeks pregnant today, however it may be a little less, will find out for sure at the first appointment in three weeks. Expected due date is august 3rd as of now. My husband and I are so excited to welcome our first. Did not expect to have a positive result so quickly after getting off bc, but overjoyed and lucky nonetheless. Yesterday began the rough stuff. Nausea all day, no appetite for anything (then all of a sudden an appetite for anything) shortness of breath and extreme fatigue! Looking forward to the day i get my equilibrium back for sure! Any suggestions for nausea? Ive been trying my p-6 trigger point as suggested by a massage therapist i work with but i need more ideas! Congrats to all of you by the way! :)

  • Congratulations!! I'm at 6 weeks today too :)

It's funny-one of the major symptoms starting week 6 is nausea and mine hit hard this morning. That plus no real desire to eat anything has been tough. I had saltine crackers this morning, peppermint tea with sugar when my blood sugar crashed then slowly worked my way up to lunch. For me bananas help, Sprite or carbonated water with lemon, and chewing gum for some reason lol

I'm 5 weeks 6 days, first pregnancy. My nausea started slowly on Monday but then it was awful yesterday morning! It's just very unpredictable. I know it's a good sign but I wasn't mentally prepared for this!
  • I know, i have to keep reminding myself what the beautiful end result is here, but it's just a tough and defeating feeling, so miserable from start to finish in the day. Then the anxiety of feeling sick makes me emotional, i feel crazy! Haha! In another forum i read a woman tried something called preggie pops she got at babies r' us and they worked great. I think im going to give that a try, i will try anything at this point. The saltine cracker and plain almonds thing with water has been getting me through this morning.
  • 6w today too, and queasiness just started! In a way, it makes me happy because I feel pregnant :) but I hope it doesn't get worse.

  • At 6 weeks pregnant with dd1, the nausea hit hard.

I never left home without Sprite and saltines.

I have been eating ginger chews this pregnancy which help.

I also just bought preggie pops
  • Hey I'm 6+2 due August 2. Occasional nausea but I went to the er before I was pregnant and they wrote me a script for a few promethazine. I've been making it stretch till my first appointment next Tuesday. I read about some smoothies with ginger in them that are helpful with morning sickness. I just googled healthy pregnancy smoothies and it popped up some awesome recipes.
