Horrible night!

I agreed to babysit a friends kids at the last minute so that she could make her 9pm councleing session. She came back late, I went out to my car and it was gone! It was towed (from an unmarked spot, by the way). The friend didn't answer her door or phone so for the last 45 minutes I've been stuck outside trying to track down a ride. I'm sick and tired and I still have to go to the lot to pick up the car and pay over $100 for it. It's taking all I have not to cry.

Thanks. Made it home around midnight. Car is back, but man it's expensive! Took the rest of my Christmas shopping budget to get it out. Ouch!

What an awful night! Who doesn't answer their door or the phone, especially after you had just left!! I always watch to make sure visitors get to their cars ok/wave from the door... I hope you filled your friend in today so she's more considerate in the future!

She's having a rough time. She has 3 young kids, they have run into money problems, and I think there is something up with her husband that she's not telling me (he wasn't home last night). She was pretty tired and down when I left, I'm guessing he went right to bed, and her room is at the back of her apartment. It sucked she didn't answer, but I'm not going to give her trouble about it. At least I was able to help her out, that's the one good thing that came out of last night.

She lives in kind of a sketchy area too, which made me a little uncomfortable that late at night. I won't be parking in their guest spaces anymore, that's for sure!

I'm so sorry that happened. What an awful night! You're a good friend. If it's a sketchy area, she should stay up until you text you got home safe in the future. Hope something wonderful happens to you soon to make up for it!
