Diaper rash remedies?

I'm looking for advice on the best diaper rash cream and remedies for my 9 week old. She has some redness and it's slightly raised but it doesn't seem to be bothering her yet. I've put some Desitin on it the last couple days but I can't tell if it's getting better or staying the same She had a lot of dirty diapers yesterday and I think repeatedly wiping her made it irritated.

Anyone have any ideas I should try?

We have been using Butt Paste. It cleared his up.

I have also used butt paste. Pure corn starch has always worked for all of my kids as well.

We haven't used any with this LO yet but with my others I used plain A & D ointment most of the time. When it was really bad I used butt paste. There was a time I ran out and didn't get a chance to go to the store and I used nipple cream, than worked wonders as well

Try using warm wash cloths instead of wipes. My 10 week old had bad diaper rash and we found out it was from using pampers wipes. One we got it cleared up we switched to water wipes (you can get them at target) and no issues since.

I use Aquafor on every diaper change, dirty and wet, and even if there is no rash. It acts as a barrier and helps the skin stay healthy and heal.

Caldosene powder..the pink bottle!!! Amazing!! My great grandmother swore by this stuff and i can see why. Lo had a bleeding rash in her neck and this cleared it up over night. Then her butt started to look red, cleared it up after 1 diaper change!!

Edited to add: its a zinc/talc powder

We use the green Buttpaste and WaterWipes, baby is almost 6 weeks and has never had a rash. We used the same for our daughter and she never got rashes either!

My LO had pretty bad diaper rash from about day 2 on. We used the prescribed ointment for a while, we've used Desitin, we've used Butt Paste. Nothing seemed to work. My Pedi recommended Triple Paste (its a little pricier) but we got a giant tub at Walgreens(i've seen it other places since) and its been the only thing to clear it up. That and giving him some air dry time whenever possible.

Every time my son has a bit of a red bottom I put Aquaphor diaper cream on his bum and all agitation is gone by the next diaper change. It's magical! He's never even come close to a rash! Even his pediatrician was impressed. I seriously would swear by the stuff.

I also second the butt paste, not even 24 hours later and my little guy was cleared up back to normal. Agree with the baby wash cloths to rule out sensitivity to wipes

Water and paper towels, let lo air dry when possible and honest co organic healing ointment.

None of those creams worked for us, unfortunately. We tried every single cream there was, organic and non-organic. He has very sensitive skin. The only thing that works for my boy is time every day without his diaper, water & wash cloth instead of wipes, cloth diapers to avoid any chemicals and using breastmilk and/or coconut oil. Everything else made it stay the same or get worse.

we tried sudocream, zincofax and the live clean diaper ointment and none of them were working for her.
