3 yr. Old & 8 wk. Old share room...

So, I am going to attempt to have them sleep in the same room for the first time tonight. My 3 year old has slept on his own room and bed since he was 6 weeks. My daughter is now 8 weeks and currently sleeps on her pack n play on my room. But I am ready to get her in her crib now. My only thing is, I am very nervous of how it will go. If my son will put things in her crib or try and play or something. Any tips or advice?? Or any of yous gone through this? I just need some insight. Lol

    I don't have any advice but just wanted I wish you good luck! My son is 3 1/2 years old and my other one is 6 1/2 weeks. I'm interested to see how it goes for you!

    It did not go. Not at all... I put my 3 year old down to sleep first. Then finished my little ones bedtime routine and put her to bed like I always do. But I put her in her crib. She cried nonstop! Which she never does. She started waking up my son so I took her out and put her back in or room for now. I'm trying to put her in there for day time naps to try to get her used to the new environment. But then I noticed she kept opening her hands and feeling the sheets in her crib. Because we cover her pack n play mattress with a plush sheet, I don't think she liked the plain cotton sheet material. So I went to target and bought a plush sheet for her crib and will try again tomorrow. Did you ladies try it or not yet?

    I am not putting them in the same room, but the baby's room is side by side with my 3 year olds room and he wakes up if he hears a feather fall so I was just interested on how it went for you. The baby hasn't slept in his crib yet. He is still is his pack and play downstairs at night so he doesn't wake my 3 year old up when he cries. Sorry it didn't go well for you!

    We tried once but the 3 year old wasn't asleep yet and was too excited. He woke the baby up and then neither one would go to sleep. I too am trying to get baby to nap in the crib as a start but lately he will only nap in my arms...wakes up as soon as I put him down.
