Doing anything baby related today? Trying not to stress.

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I had some brown spotting Sunday-Monday, and had a consistent pain in my lower belly, so I called the OB yesterday and they brought me in for blood work and an us. They said they didn't see much on the scan, but that it's too early and maybe my dates are off. The doc said it could still be perfectly fine as brown spotting occurs in 25% of pregnancies. I'm still worried as can be. It just seems wrong that they couldn't see anything. But the spotting has stopped for now, at least. I'm going for more blood work tomorrow and assuming it shows the numbers they want, back for another us next Tuesday.

Questions? Anyone else had similar US results?

Doing anything baby related today? No, we were supposed to get out washer/dryer delivered today but I got a call last night that it probably won't be in for another week

so I'll be spending my afternoon either at my parents or the laundry mat doing laundry.

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: still haven't heard back about yesterday's blood test, so I'm freaking out a bit.

We're only in a two bedroom house right now so we're still figuring out what we're going to do. There's an attic that we could easily finish and make into a room for either us or one of the kids but we're still unsure.

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:I am just a nervous wreck! Every little cramp makes me nervous even though I know it is completely normal. I was the same way when I was pregnant with my daughter. Thought I would be calmer the second time around but apparently I was wrong!

GTKY - Any nursery ideas/plans yet? Bonus points for inspiration pics. The room is already a nice blue so if it is a boy, we will more than likely keep the room color. Of it is a girl, I have no idea. Will also be adding crown molding and probably chair rail too.

@WinchesterGirl I'm really hoping that everything turns out okay for you! I have also had some brown spotting. I'm going in for a blood test today. My doc was very reassuring on the phone and said that brown spotting is normal during early pregnancy as your body is going through a lot of changes and your uterus is expanding. She's just doing the blood test as a precaution. Hopefully both of our blood tests show good beta amounts!

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Work is really irritating me. We have a huge deadline coming up, and the amount of hours we are expected to put in is very excessive. I can't do it right now since I really need rest, and I know my boss is frustrated with me. Debating on if I should tell him what's going on....

How are you feeling? Mostly freaked out. Yes I'm going to be THAT first time mom. I've been having super vivid dreams lately, which I've read is a pregnancy symptom. But last night was just insane. First of all, I dreamed that I started spotting and everyone around me was like, "Oh well. Another miscarriage." I woke up in a panic from that one. But then I fell back to sleep and had a dream that I was eating my weight in chocolate. I rather enjoyed that dream.... Anyway, as far as symptoms, my boobs are hurting more and feeling fuller, and then the same ones as yesterday. Oh, and the food cravings are awesome! I'm rather enjoying those. Anything spicy.

Doing anything baby related today? DH and I are going to finish our Christmas shopping today. Now that we're KU, we're going to buy frames that say Grandparents on it or something to that nature. I'm going to put the due date in the frame, and we're giving it to all our parents for Christmas as a pregnancy announcement.

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I'm still very excited and extremely nervous at the same time. It's going to be a long six weeks waiting for that first appointment.

Questions? I read through all your posts yesterday and saw that some of you were talking about pregnancy friendly shampoo. Is this something I need to worry about? Do I need to change my shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, etc.? I've never heard about that before so I feel really out of the loop.

GTKY - Any nursery ideas/plans yet? Bonus points for inspiration pics. We currently live in a two bedroom town home. We plan on buying a bigger house if/when we have baby No. 2. But for right now we're going to turn the guest room into a baby room, however, still keep the guest bed in there. The former owners of this house used it as a baby room, so it's already a really pretty pastel green, which is very gender neutral. We'll probably keep it that color. I do plan on adding "what a hoot" decorations though. I just haven't decided on anything exact at this time.

Anyone else not sleeping??? woke up at 1:45 to pee and could not sleep till after 3. then was up to pee again at 5. So thirsty at night, but once im up, I can't go back to sleep!

Great! Excited and nervous about my ultrasound next Tuesday. Queasiness is an issue but not full nausea yet-just lots of aches and pains due in large part I bet to the cold weather. And my chest-they have doubled in size lol

Do anything baby related today?
I add to my baby registry every day. I know it's early but it helps keep me positive and focused when I'm a crying, nervous wreck

Rants/Raves/Positive Vibes: just nervous and very grateful for my DH who helps keep me positive and says I'm beautiful every day

I would like to sleep more than 3 hours at a time though lol

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: @AmandaG225 I felt the same way about the cramping! I just kept thinking, "It's normal, it's normal..." I feel better today because the ultrasound is set and I took another HPT yesterday and I'm definitely pregnant. (Since my appt isn't until Jan, I had visions of telling our folks at Christmas and then not actually being pregnant and having to tell them I'm just a crazy person--but I am feeling better today!) @sweettart85 - one reason I was nervous and took another HPT was because I also felt too good! Positive vibes to you ladies who are spotting--it is very common, though I am sure that doesn't stop the worrying!

Questions? Echoing the question about shampoo--I haven't read anything yet about certain shampoos being unsafe. ???

@JEMN - we're telling our parents at Christmas, but waiting until after the 9-week ultrasound to tell siblings. This was our compromise. I'd be okay sharing bad news with my mom, but I tend to be a pretty private person and wouldn't want all of H's siblings knowing what was going on. H is ready to tell everyone now, but I asked him to wait. Only problem is that we will tell my sister at Christmas. She's been struggling with unexplained IF and is going through IVF right now. I thought it was only fair to tell her ASAP. So H thinks that's a little unfair, that my sister will know but his siblings won't, but he understands.

How are you feeling? Exhausted, but other than that I don't really have any symptoms. I was bloated and had sore boobs for a few days, but that seems to have subsided.

I had cramping, which seems to have stopped. Boobls were very sensitive/sore/heavy, and that seemed to die down, and then I got sore underams (normal for me to have one be sore before my period) and today, boobs seem full/sore again (mostly brushing against stuff, not just sitting there), so it does seem to be fluctuating a bit for me.

How are you feeling? Tired today. I've had a lot of nausea on and off all day. Soo bloated. My pants are so uncomfortable when I'm sitting down, I unbutton them in the car and switch to soft pants the second I get home.

Doing anything baby related today? Still on a baby name kick. We've had our boy name set for 4.5 years, but after 2 girls we are struggling to find another perfect girl name.

How are you feeling? Pretty good. It took a lot of effort to get to the gym today, but I've just been walking on the treadmill, so it was easy. Other than that, my boobs are really sore. When will that end?

Doing anything baby related today? Not really, but I did spend a fair amount of time reading older threads to reassure myself that my lack of MS is not a bad sign.

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I realized today that I shouldn't spend money buying new winter clothes right now since I have no idea what my body will be doing over the next few weeks/months.

GTKY - Any nursery ideas/plans yet? We are going to move before the baby comes so I'm not sure what the room will look like, but I would like a brown color palette with pink or blue accents. (We are finding out.) I will want a theme, but I'm not sure what yet.

I know it's Wednesday morning, but here goes anyways.

How far along are you? 5weeks today

How are you feeling? Good. My symptoms that were really strong (sore breasts and dry mouth) have subsided a little which kind of worries me. Anyone else have this happen? Also, pretty crampy/bloated. Have been for a few days on and off. Not painful, just uncomfortable. I suppose this is normal but definitely makes me worry as this is my first and I have no idea what to expect.

Doing anything baby related today? My husband and I started talking about how to tell our families the news. Also, we started making a list of everything we need to do to our house before the baby comes, haha. Seems like it's far away, but I think it will be here before we know it.

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I"m really really excited about this pregnancy, but it is adorable watching how excited my husband is. He came home last night from work and was just beaming talking about me and the baby.

Questions? I guess I just am wondering how you get through the first trimester without questioning, worrying, and double guessing everything you're feeling? I'm a nervous wreck about it. Everything I feel I wonder, "is this normal" and I feel like everything I read says "yes" but sometimes "no" so it's just frustrating for me. How does everyone stay positive and not dwell on the "what ifs?"

Just curious as to what products you found? I just checked my shampoo & it has one of the ingredients in the list. Unfortunately, skipping washes is not an option for me. And it seems like hormones make my hair even more oily. Thanks!

How are you feeling? Really tired and anxious. Waiting for my hcg blood test to come back. I had one done on Monday and a second today, hopefully I get good news tomorrow. I had brown - red spotting on Monday. My OB did not seem to concerned by it, but it of course freaked me out.

Doing anything baby related today? Second blood test.

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: We get our first ultrasound on Monday and I am very excited. Hopefully my numbers have doubled since Monday.
