Everybody? First, my doctor rescheduled my appointment this morning because he is delivering a baby. (He delivers all his patients--regardless of whether he's on call, and this is why I chose him.) My frustration is that he's been delivering babies every appointment and then I end up seeing the nurse. While I don't normally mind seeing her over my doctor, I haven't seen an actual doctor in over 8 weeks! Of course, I was already late to work, so no way to make that up.
Then, my husband is recovering from an accident, and is not doing well, so now I'm stuck at home with him, taking care of him, when I go on maternity leave in 3 weeks, and have sooo much work to get done before I go.
Finally, there is work! These people have known for 6 months that I'm pregnant, and I had a meeting 8 weeks ago to get things squared away so I wouldn't be scrambling in the last few weeks before I go. Now, everyone is panicking, and killing me with meetings, but I also have deadlines and my own responsibilities to handle in order to actually GO on maternity leave. Also, HR is super pissed that I haven't turned in my FMLA paperwork, but I haven't seen the damn doctor! Ugh. This day sucks.
My body. I ended up doing 7 loads of baby laundry yesterday and put together the bassinet as well as pulled out all the bins with baby stuff. I was feeling good yesterday but now my back is sore from bending over to fold and sort the laundry and I'm so tired. DS2 and I have been cuddling watching little Einsteins. I hate using the tv as a babysitter but it's so easy on days like today.
My friend. First off I told her a while ago that my LO has a name and what it was. The last few weeks she has been insisting that I name him something different and now several times a week she tells me or texts me about this name. I'm getting really frustrated.
The other people that work at the boutique I work at. It's one person per shift, and we are *supposed* to be sweeping every night before closing. Well, a select few think that doesn't apply to them, so I get stuck sweeping up even more junk than I have to. And what's even more of a TW is the little line of dirt that just does NOT go into the dust pan. And it requires me to bend over longer than I need to and I just can't anymore. Let's save all the chores for the 8 month pregnant girl, good idea!
Today the TW is the gas guy. He was supposed to be here somewhere between 9-12, which just pisses me off in general that I have to be stuck at home (and awake!) for a solid 3 hrs. People who come to service your home should be able to narrow down their ETA the day of and call ahead to let you know. Then, DD woke up at 8:30 so I thought great! If this guy shows up soon, then when he leaves we can nap! Well, a simple short pipe install (to reach a new dryer- literally should've been 5 ft of pipe) has turned into a nearly 2-hour experience that isn't over yet (did I mention he didn't get here until 11:30?). Anyway, DD slept like crap last night so I REALLY need this nap, but it's looking more and more like she'll be napping alone while I sit around trying to keep my eyes open while this guy finishes up his work. To top it off, my health is being a TW as I can feel a cold coming on but it hasn't fully hit yet so I'm just sitting here, uncomfortable, waiting for the full force of it to hit me.
Heartburn is a TW. I want to enjoy tacos w/o them revisiting all night! And b/c I'm clearly a masochist, I'm taking the leftover taco meat and adding it to pasta, with cheese, for lunch today. So, I am also a TW.
The toddler is only 1/2 of a TW. He slept until 10am, causing me to have a heart-attack thinking something was wrong with him. On the other hand, we slept until 10am lol.
I'd like to add that the court system in this state is a TW. SO's dad did something really bad, and has been on trial all year. He was found guilty and SHOULD have gotten minimum 3 years in prison, but instead got 40 days in the county jail. The same one where SO works. TW-FIL will serve his days Mon-Fri and be allowed to go home on the weekends, and he has to register as a sex offender, plus 5yrs probation. We are pissed that he got off so easily. So, the court system, FIL, his lawyer, and the morons who sent in "letters of support" are all giant, flaming twatwaffles.
My apt complex. They tried saying we didn't pay rent and have three days to get out. Um, I paid rent on Saturday and have the receipt. Then they tried saying we owe them $630. Um, no. My rent is 575, it's always been 575. It says 575 on my lease (which is valid until Feb). The managers are looking into it but they can't win this battle.
The money hungry f-ing dentist is a TW. I was able to get squeezed in today instead of having to wait until Thursday. My face has continued to swell. Turns out I have a tooth abscessing (stupid pregnancy. Every effing time). He refuses to give me any antibiotics, refuses to try to fix it, and will only do an extraction. He knows he can charge me more for "oral surgery" even though antibiotics would kill the infection just fine. I go through this every freaking pregnancy so I know what my body is doing. But for the love of god why couldn't he just prescribe some antibiotics?!?! Leaving it will only cause the infection to get worse, possibly allowing it to spread to my blood stream, and causing preterm labor. I've called my dr. Hopefully she will be more helpful. I seriously considered keying the dentists car on my way out though.

My TW today is my hips and lower back. I'm hosting a ladies group tonight and it's hard to sweep, vacuum and mop when you're achey in all your bendy areas. Also, my baby monitor is a TW. It decided to die on me last night and since ds is upstairs and our bedroom is down I really need a monitor or I can't hear him at night. I know someone's getting me a double for my baby sprinkle but I have to figure something out in the meantime.
My stupid, unreliable contractions. They started last night, some mild, some stronger, but nothing regular so I rested, got a couple hours sleep, and headed for my scheduled OB appointment. He doesn't seem concerned even if it does happen, I'm 36 1/2 and Baby is likely 7 1/4 lbs. This morning all was fine, until the long wait in his office. He checked, I'm at a 1. Then they just died out again at home. Like make up your mind kiddo! In the meantime, LO is so active down there, it's awkward. At least the court house delayed hubby's jury duty until February. That had me a bit nervous worrying about cell signal, etc.

I work as a med aide, emptying them for someone else is the worst. I hate it, it's always smelly.
My kitties are TWs! DH is away with work for the week, usually he makes me get up at 6 with him (doesn't understand the pregnancy and needing to sleep more thing) so I was excited to finally stay in bed a bit later. But the cats have other ideas. Starting from about 5:30 they like to come and nibble my toes, lick my hair (and get their tongues tangled) and poke me with a single claw. Also I swear they take up more room in the bed at night than DH himself does. I'd close the door but the room gets too hot!
My sciatic nerve. I am in so much pain I can barely move. Not good when you have a toddler, might I add... We went to two stores today and were out maybe an hour and now my sciatic is pinched and I'm so sore that I honestly don't know how I'm going to make it until little man falls asleep.
Also, baby snot. Major TW (along with the germs that cause it). Little man has had the snottiest nose of all times, going on a week now. Nothing helps. I've given him benadryl, used his humidifier, vapor baths, Vick's rub, and the good ol' snot sucker (aspirator). You know it is bad when the 1 year old bangs on his door then points to his shelf and allows you to use the snot sucker... Poor guy is miserable. And everything is covered in baby snot, because why not wipe it everywhere?
I went to my ultrasound and I saw the OB today. I got my favorite ultrasound tech and she made it a good appointment! She took some pics and gave them to me! Baby was moving and practicing her breathing. First time she has ever done that at an ultrasound. I saw the OB way later in the day. I was seeing another OB vs my OB because he was out of town and he knows I have high anxiety so chose a super nice OB that was more like the OB that delivered my DD since he is family friends with that OB. Loved the OB, hated her nurse. The nurse was not listening at all. She kept calling L&D the ER and she acted like I wasn't a nurse. She told me the blood pressure cuff was going to squeeze my arm....Lady I have petechia aka pin point bleeding from having my BP checked so much on my right arm. I'm also 31 weeks pregnant... If you are 20 weeks or further along, you go to L&D if you have issues, not the ER. Also she asked me multiple times if I could pee in a cup for her even though I had already answered her....smdh. The OB nurse is a TW for sure.

Babies R Us are TWs today. My grandmother bought our crib by putting it on layaway and then sending us money to pay for it when payment was due (she's on a fixed income so this worked very well for her). Finally paid it off the day before Thanksgiving. Afterwards I went to pick it up at the store because when I put it on they said as soon as I paid it off I could come pick it up. Borrowed my SOs aunts SUV (our cars too small to fit it) to get it and they then informed me after about 45 minutes of back and forth that once I paid the crib has to be sent from the warehouse and I should receive an email when it arrives in 6-10 days. That was fine, I was sad but I understood. Anywho today I still haven't received any kind of email about our crib so I decided to call the 1-800 number. After an hour on hold someone finally got to me and 2 minutes later tells me that I need to go to the store and talk to them about it because they don't have any information on it..... I just about died. It took everything in me not to start cussing. Anyway so I guess I have to go to BrU tomorrow and see wtf is going on. Why can't anything just go right I just want to get the crib we bought and paid for set up before LO gets here. Grrrrr

My husband has been working really long hours, and physically it's hard for me to do any significant amount of cleaning and when I do you really can hardly tell I did anything... So today hubs comes home extra annoyed that I seemingly did nothing (even though I did), and when I tried to say that I did he walked through the entire house pointing out sarcastically how "clean" the house was. So of course I walked outside and cried my eyes out with no comfort from him. So I've decided, fine. I don't do anything all day. Now I'm REALLY not going to do anything all day and see if you notice THEN how much I do. Humph. Sitting in the baby room in my big comfy recliner while he vacuums and noisily does the dishes. I ain't worried 'bout NOTHIN. Lol.
Iv never participated in TW Tuesday before, but man do I need it today. 1. Boss is a TW. I have found out I have over $8k in leave owing to me that I have accrued in overtime. But legally, Im not going to get it because of the Award system I am under. Morally, bosses are obliged to oay it out, but not legally. FML. 2. While nursing my rediculously swollen feet, hubby came in to say say he had given away two puppies. Our dogs had pups recently. Firstly, who the f are these people, you know i wanted to make sure they went to good homes and I dont know them from a bar of soap. Second, theyre not old enough to give away. Yes, they will survive, but thats not the point. Third, more wasted money, i was going to sell them for $300 each, to cover costs of food/vet care and help weed out owners who shouldnt own dogs, and lastly, the whole reason we bred them was because we wanted to be able to pick out the best working dog (for cattle/sheep) before selling the rest. They are no way near old enough to tell who was going to be a famtastic work dog and who missed that gene. What did i go to all that effort for? He probably just GAVE away the champion work dog to a sh*t owner! Should have just bought a proved work dog for $5k and be done with it, rather than breed pups to go to crap homes, before theyre even old enough to!
I've missed the boat once again, but TW is me/nesting.
About a month ago nesting possessed me to arrange to have our bath and shower redone one week while my parents were out of town so we'd have somewhere to stay. The time had arrived last week and our friend started the job. Before we know it the job isn't going well and it doesn't look like what we wanted or good quality and it's taking twice as long (so we're back home, but no shower still!)
Turns out even though he quoted us labour he was thinking the whole time he'd do us this favour for free (so nice, but we wanted a professional paid job for good and quick work and this instead left us with sub par work taking forever when we're running out of time before baby). So now a week and a half after the job started we're still without a shower and left to clean up the incredibly dusty and dirty shower and room from the grout while still waiting for the plumber to show up at an undetermined time so we can finally use the shower.
I woke up at 4 am and could think of nothing else but getting that bathroom clean! So I spent over an hour cleaning only to realize I have NO SHOWER in which to clean up my now dust and grout covered self. I will be so happy when this is over.
@cbeebe134 I DESPISE Babies R Us. They are the devil. Absolutely impossible to work with. My MIL gave us a crib for our son that she had bought for her granddaughter but never opened. It was too big for our space so we wanted to exchange it for something that fit better. It was (and is still 5yrs later) in the box, unopened and they still sell the exact same crib in the store but flat out refused to exchange it because it wasn't within the 90 day return period. I emailed and called corporate and got the same f***-off response every time. So we were stuck with it because MIL she'd set it up in her spare room whenever they got it cleaned out (which they haven't yet) so it's still in a box in our basement. My husband tried to get a breast pump for me from BRU after our son was born but there weren't any on the shelves so he asked if he could get one from the back or even the storage shelf way up high but walked out after waiting 20 min for someone to go get a ladder or check the back. Went to Buy Buy Baby and they gave him 20% off just because he had such a bad experience at their competitor. I LOVE Buy Buy Baby.

So, on the bright side, if your husband did happen to give them away to stupid people, they may end up with a bad dog due to poor socialization! I hope for the dog's sake that they went to good owners though.

If you are 20 weeks or further along, you go to L&D if you have issues, not the ER. Also she asked me multiple times if I could pee in a cup for her even though I had already answered her....smdh. The OB nurse is a TW for sure.

1. Boss is a TW. I have found out I have over $8k in leave owing to me that I have accrued in overtime. But legally, Im not going to get it because of the Award system I am under. Morally, bosses are obliged to oay it out, but not legally. FML.
2. While nursing my rediculously swollen feet, hubby came in to say say he had given away two puppies. Our dogs had pups recently. Firstly, who the f are these people, you know i wanted to make sure they went to good homes and I dont know them from a bar of soap. Second, theyre not old enough to give away. Yes, they will survive, but thats not the point. Third, more wasted money, i was going to sell them for $300 each, to cover costs of food/vet care and help weed out owners who shouldnt own dogs, and lastly, the whole reason we bred them was because we wanted to be able to pick out the best working dog (for cattle/sheep) before selling the rest. They are no way near old enough to tell who was going to be a famtastic work dog and who missed that gene. What did i go to all that effort for? He probably just GAVE away the champion work dog to a sh*t owner! Should have just bought a proved work dog for $5k and be done with it, rather than breed pups to go to crap homes, before theyre even old enough to!

About a month ago nesting possessed me to arrange to have our bath and shower redone one week while my parents were out of town so we'd have somewhere to stay. The time had arrived last week and our friend started the job. Before we know it the job isn't going well and it doesn't look like what we wanted or good quality and it's taking twice as long (so we're back home, but no shower still!)
Turns out even though he quoted us labour he was thinking the whole time he'd do us this favour for free (so nice, but we wanted a professional paid job for good and quick work and this instead left us with sub par work taking forever when we're running out of time before baby). So now a week and a half after the job started we're still without a shower and left to clean up the incredibly dusty and dirty shower and room from the grout while still waiting for the plumber to show up at an undetermined time so we can finally use the shower.
I woke up at 4 am and could think of nothing else but getting that bathroom clean! So I spent over an hour cleaning only to realize I have NO SHOWER in which to clean up my now dust and grout covered self. I will be so happy when this is over.
My husband tried to get a breast pump for me from BRU after our son was born but there weren't any on the shelves so he asked if he could get one from the back or even the storage shelf way up high but walked out after waiting 20 min for someone to go get a ladder or check the back. Went to Buy Buy Baby and they gave him 20% off just because he had such a bad experience at their competitor. I LOVE Buy Buy Baby.
Honestly... Your hubby would be a dead man if I was in that situation! My family used to show and breed American Cock Spaniels and a good working dog is worth a lot because they help big time! I would make him sleep on the couch and he could go without something he enjoys for a while. (Not talking about sex but like Starbucks or something) because that's money he just took away from your family for no reason! Also if he doesn't know how old puppies have to be before they can go to their new owners, I say even more reason! It's a big deal when you breed dogs...I'm mean but no man would survive doing that in my home!
