Anyone feeling BETTER at 36+ weeks?

I feel a lot better now! Anyone else?

I don't think the baby has dropped yet, but I'm not waking up as much at night to pee, my headaches are better, I can move better and I have some energy back. Is this the "nesting" kicking in or what?

  • I hope to feel better soon! I definitely have felt worse :( I pee every two hours at night so can't sleep much. My BP has gotten a bit high, and I'm uncomfortable as baby is so low at station 0. My midwife said I had to "take it easy" no shopping or excessive nesting (lol). I'm almost 37 weeks so that is good as far as baby but I hope to go to at least 39 weeks. Stay in baby!
  • Not at 36 weeks but at 38 weeks I started to feel less back and hip soreness. Not sure why.
  • My gestational diabetes got a lot easier to control around 35-36 weeks and the nausea/vomiting I've had this whole pregnancy eased up a bit. But then the baby dropped and the pelvic pain and pressure has been really intense. I would rather have that than all day nausea though. So anyway- yes, I feel better now than I did for most of this pregnancy.
  • I'm with you @MerBot I'm 36 weeks 5 days feel pretty good in general! Less heartburn. Loads of energy during the day for cleaning and organizing projects. Nesting mode is in full effect. Don't get me wrong I'm still taking naps and fully exhausted come bed time at 9 pm.

Yes (37+6)! It's so weird but I'm not complaining! I definitely have pelvic pressure from dropped baby and have to pee every 5 seconds, but I have so much more energy and no longer feel like I want to murder anyone. Generally, I'm just so much more chill--maybe that's a sign I'll go early. Please?

  • I'm definitely feeling more and more uncomfortable, baby is pushing more on my bladder, and my hips hurt a lot when I sleep! HOWEVER I am getting a little more energy during the day, and seem to be getting more things done. I'm only 36-6 but man am I starting to get anxious, for this to be over with!!
  • Around 34 weeks I went from having a very smooth pregnancy (minus heartburn) to dealing with back pain and being exhausted all day. Wish I felt better like you ladies.
  • 38 weeks 4 days and I've felt great the last two weeks! I know we are not the majority though, and I feel for the ladies who are having a really rough ending to their pregnancy.
  • I was so nauseous and fussy and food averse for so long. And around 34-36 weeks or so, I just started eating everything. And not much else changed so yes I feel better now that the end has come. I feel more settled too.
  • So jealous.  37+1 and I feel awful.  I was feeling pretty good up until week 35.  Then came the constant peeing, stomach discomfort, menstrual like cramps, etc, etc.  I feel like such a whiner.  Only a few more weeks.
  • 37&4. Nope. Although the majority of the pregnancy was fairly easy compared to other so I really can't complain.
  • Up until like 35 1/2- 36 weeks I would have answered yes to this. The past few days have been complete misery. Glad my little girl is getting the time she needs to continue to grow & develop more but I just wish time would hurry up. The back pain, inability to sleep, nausea and need to pee constantly is just getting OLD.

  • I'm feeling a LOT better week 37, but it might be because thanksgiving was so stressful haha. Sleeping better, and I've just learned to ignore all of the contractions that used to keep me thinking I was in labor...
  • 37+1 and we have our good and bad moments. Night time is worse especially getting out of bed or just moving in general hurts like crazy. I'm resting as much as one can with a 3 year old at home, lol. Plus side is the sex is still awesome!
  • I started feeling better last week as well (36 weeks then).
I basically woke up one day and realized I only woke up once that night and I didn't feel exhausted!
I have been sleeping so much better this week.
LO dropped about 2 weeks ago and my heartburn has become manageable, and I have more room to breathe. The downside is walking around has become more of a chore now that it's feels like someone kicked me with a shoe down there, and it is now wedged in my vaginal canal. Haha
SO has been complaining about the kids waking him up at night for the past couple of nights, and I have slept right through it. Lol I am usually a really light sleeper.
I could get used to this.
