My acupuncturist insisted she see me this past Saturday, tomorrow evening and again Wednesday. She is even suggesting 2x Wednesday (before FET and after) she called it the "half German Protocol"? Yeah I had to go in Saturday and she treated me for almost 3 hours. Your acupuncturist sounds like mine... she was like I will see you before the transfer for 2.5 hours. I was like what in the world! LOL... she's been making me drink bone broth to help with my uterus.

No she puts on the cups first for about 15 mins and then she takes those off and puts needles on my back and neck and she turns on the music and she comes back in an hour and I wake up not knowing I was sleep... and then I turn over on my back and she puts needles in my abdominal area, head, arms, legs and feet and leaves for another 30-45 mins and comes back... it's an awesome nap.

So is it just me or does anyone else feel more of the effects of the meds this time around? One of those little pills is making me a nutcase this round. It's horrible, my poor DH! I feel so bad. And my PIO shots don't hurt upon injections, but my butt muscles are soooo sore the next day. Worth every second it of! But strange that I didn't feel this way during my IVF round- and it was similar medicines and shots!

I'm totally feeling the effects of the meds... this was my first time on Estrace and I know for certain it is the one making me a raging lunatic one minute and a giggling fool the next. The Lupron just made me really tired and gave me headaches... I felt like a Zombie on it. The estrace kicked in and took my fatigue to a higher level but also made me turn into a different person. And progesterone... well that just changed the way my pee smells... LMBO!!

My FET is for Dec. 13th. This is my first IVF cycle after 5 unsuccessful IUIs and many, many months trying before any of that even started! We are so looking forward to this month! I finished the BCP a few days ago and started the Menopur and Gonal today. I didn't expect the injections to hurt as much as they did! Ouch. I see some of you are getting acupuncture -- when during your cycle do you think it's the most helpful?
@amos1417 I had a small scare last night, my panty liner (fun times with endometrin/estrace) had a tiny spot of pink blood on it. So I called the nurse in slight panic mode and she had me come in this morning for u/s & bw. Just got the call that everything is still ok, was probably just a little irritation bleeding from the suppositories. Right after that, the lab called to schedule me for transfer. I go in at 12:30pm, transfer at 1pm tomorrow. I am SO excited!! I admit I have a tiny part of me that is worried about the thaw, but overall, I can't wait to be PUPO!

@Smallinetta yes menopur burns like heck. Try and give that one a little slower. I've been doing acupuncture for well over 9 months now. It has just helped my overall health get better. Please keep us updated as your FET approaches.
@halips I was worried about the thaw as well but my doctor said there is a very small chance something will go wrong in the thaw. Put your mind at ease and just focus on housing that embaby tomorrow! I'm so excited for you!

@Smallinetta Welcome! Have you already gone through Egg retrieval or are you stimming for the first time right now? I didn't start acupuncture until after the ER, in preparation for the Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET). I know others started acupuncture before the whole IVF process started. I think it's personal preference, but my RE said 4-6 weeks before FET at least. I was also on a GonalF and menopur regimen, the menopur burns but otherwise I think you'll get used to the needles You might want to also look into the Nov/Dec or Dec/Jan IVF groups. Fx for you!

My ultrasound was yesterday, to check for my lining and everything is perfect. So my transfer will be the 15th. I am happy and so scared at the same time.
I will have to take progesterone suppositories starting Thursday, and I can't help but think that last time I was taking those I was pregnant, I just hope this time it works out and sometimes I do wish I could see the future.
@Shaylatrice congrats on your transfer, hopefully it sticks there and you have a healthy baby I was surprise they gave you a picture. I never got one. Has anyone else gotten pictures like this? What they gave us last time was the petri dish that was used for my embryo.

I'm still hoping that next Monday will be the day but I'm not sure. I have to go back in on Thursday to see how my lining is. Good news is that today my lining was a 7.5 average so that was good. The doc upped my estrace dosage and my estrogen patches and I go back for my ultrasound and bloodwork on Thursday. Fingers crossed!

So is it just me or does anyone else feel more of the effects of the meds this time around? One of those little pills is making me a nutcase this round. It's horrible, my poor DH! I feel so bad. And my PIO shots don't hurt upon injections, but my butt muscles are soooo sore the next day. Worth every second it of! But strange that I didn't feel this way during my IVF round- and it was similar medicines and shots!

@amos1417 I had a small scare last night, my panty liner (fun times with endometrin/estrace) had a tiny spot of pink blood on it. So I called the nurse in slight panic mode and she had me come in this morning for u/s & bw. Just got the call that everything is still ok, was probably just a little irritation bleeding from the suppositories. Right after that, the lab called to schedule me for transfer. I go in at 12:30pm, transfer at 1pm tomorrow. I am SO excited!! I admit I have a tiny part of me that is worried about the thaw, but overall, I can't wait to be PUPO!

@halips I was worried about the thaw as well but my doctor said there is a very small chance something will go wrong in the thaw. Put your mind at ease and just focus on housing that embaby tomorrow! I'm so excited for you!

FET #2- 2 embryos- April 4th-BFN
ERA-June 8- results show need 12 addt'l hours of PIO
FET #3- 2 embryos transferred August 14,2016 BFP! on 8/24! Beta #1-22 Beta #2-83 Beta #3-368
Confirmed singleton-Heartbeat on 9/19-160bpm! EDD: May 1, 2017, It's a girl!!
Pre-term labor/loss-stillborn at 18w.

Lots of testing and finally determined I have elevated natural killer cells. Will begin prednisone and IVL treatment before next round.
