Spotting and frustrated

Just need to vent a little. Pregnant again after a 1st trimester miscarriage in March of this year. Definitely have more symptoms this time around....breast tenderness, nausea, and my migraines are worse just like with my son. The past 2 days though I have had some bright red spotting with a BM and I am sure it is vaginal. Had the same type of spotting with my last pregnancy. Called the doctors office today in an attempt to at least get a BHCG drawn. Didn't necessarily need to be seen. Thought last time they got me in next day and I had labs and an ultrasound right then. Today I felt like the MA kinda brushed me off and the next available wouldn't be till 1/11/16. Now I am a RN in the ER and I also work L&D. Plus my OB/GYN is a colleague of mine. So I was really irritated when they told me to just go to the ER to be seen. To me that is just rediculous, cause it is way more expensive and time consuming to have an ER visit than to just order one outpt lab. So after emailing her I got an order sent in. I just am just anxious cause I don't want to have another miscarriage and felt like they weren't listening to me. Sorry so long just needed to voice my frustration!!!

  • I'm glad you have the background and knowledge to be your own advocate. I hope the tests allay your fears.

  • Being a sister RN I completely agree! Going to the lab costs nothing compared to an ER visit. I'd bring it up to your OB and say what the frenchtoast!

  • I'm glad they agreed to just have you go to the lab!
PGAL brain is awful. I've had 2 losses already this year.
    Fx your results are great!
  • I hope you get the positive results you're looking for! I will keep my fingers crossed....also, if it's any consolation which I know it may not be because everyone is different, but I had that with my first pregnancy and everything turned out to be fine. I'm proud of you for sticking up for yourself and getting the bloodwork in.
