  • I do the same thing @WinchestertoPittsburgh! I keep telling myself being sick is a good thing and that I will do anything for a healthy baby! As for suggestions for nausea I have no idea. I've been told to eat lots of protein and have lots of small snack and ginger ale. Nothing has helped for me at all. I'm on zofran as well and still sick as a dog all the time.

This comforted me when I was in the very early stages. No advice on nausea, I never had any M/S.

  • Hi! I also have had 2 miscarriages in the past 7 months and am happily 8 weeks with my 3rd. I have the same fear but luckily have a really supportive doctor. With mymiscarriages, my pregnancy symptoms stopped and then I miscarried, so I say as long as you are feeling nausea you are in the clear!

Sorry for your losses and OP hope you are feeling better. I just wanted to say that his statement is not necessarily true. In case someone reads it and freaks out because they have no nausea, that in itself is not a reason to be alarmed.

Ugh, why do people continue to perpetuate this rumor!? Healthy pregnancies DO NOT need to come with sickness.

I mean, I've been sick for months :) But I still wish people would stop passing this off as fact!

And I was sick as hell before I had my miscarriage. Symptoms (or lack thereof) are NOT indicative of the health of your pregnancy.

OP, I was coming to post the link to the Odd of NOT Having a Miscarriage post because that helped me a lot. Take it day by day. As for the nausea, lots of small, high protein snacks helped me a lot. Nuts, cheese, yogurt, etc. It kept me feeling full and my blood sugar up so it helped with my nausea.

  • I haven't been sick at all (thank Goodness). I agree, I wouldn't spread that around b/c when I first read that I got super worried. I've already been nervous about my symptoms (or lack thereof).

I am so sorry but I have to disagree with the "I say as long as you are feeling nausea you are in the clear! " I understand everyone is different. I thought that my first pregnancy. I had morning sickness from morning till night. I didn't mind it because that meant baby was fine. Not true at all. I was 11 weeks along and my baby stopped growing at 7 weeks ( I had called the doctor right around my 7 week mark with spotting and they said the spotting was normal not to be alarmed). Well I wish I would have went in to see the doctors because 4 weeks later I got the awful news. The day they told me my baby had not grown since 7 weeks and had no heart beat I came home and got sick and remember being so angry and sad at the thought of I was still getting sick because I thought that meant my pregnancy was moving right along. I was sick pretty much from 6 weeks till after my D&C :( After having my D&C the following day I was still so sick :(

I am currently 6 weeks and a few days and experienced spotting last week I went to the doctors the next day thankfully they saw me and all was well and baby was measuring where it needs to be :) . Nausea is kicking in the week but I know now not to count on it as a sign of a health pregnancy :(

I can tell you this. Staying full has helped me this week. I can't stomach sprite or saltines or lemon drops from my last pregnancy...barf!  The moment I get hungry and wait to long is when it kicks in and then trying to eat is awful. I try and keep snacks at my desk. Cuties, fruit snacks, peanuts, cheerios and gummy snacks.

Wishing you the best! I too am on the same boat as you scared of miscarrying again. My miscarriage was 3 years ago and had a hard time TTC after till now.  Trying to stay calm and positive. Better said than done I know :( Every time I pee I am checking the tissue and the toilet :( Its going to be a long next few months.

Praying for healthy pregnancy and healthy baby! :)
