DH and I have a hot date at Home Depot tonight. Our home improvement project this month is to replace all the ceiling fans and lights in our house - they guy who owned it before us was stuck in the 70's. So we're purchasing those tonight and will probably grab a bite to eat.
Sunday is Christmas tree day! We're finally venturing out and cutting down our tree and getting it all set up.
Our original plans for tonight fell through, so I think I might make DH try to get some more Christmas shopping done with me. Maybe we can splurge & go out for dinner, too...make it a nice little date night.
Tomorrow we are going to a Christmas tree farm to cut down our tree. We go with another couple every year, & this year they will also be taking our announcement picture for us!

Tonight I have to finalize my outfit for tomorrow. We are having announcement pictures taken at 3. I have to work 8-12 so it will be a hectic day. I'm hoping we can do dinner and a movie tomorrow night. We haven't had a date night in so long. Sunday will be a day of housework and hopefully some rest too.

Staying in tonight, just watching a Christmas movie and building a gingerbread house!
Tomorrow we are going to a "Beer Christmas" party. It was so much fun last year and I'm sad to be missing out, but I'm mostly hoping that people don't notice that I'm not drinking. I'm not sure I'm ready to "announce" to not-super-close friends. The idea of the party is that everybody brings individually wrapped beers (like in wrapping paper) and every time you go to get a drink, you get to unwrap your beer and you have to drink whatever you picked. Most of the beer is good craft beer so it's fun to try new things, but there are always a few crappy beers and a few Smirnoff Ices - we are all super mature, clearly.
@kballew10 that sounds like a fun party to me! (of course more so if you were able to actually partake!) but my group of friends still "ices" people occasionally with the Smirnoff... it was a fun trend that some people just wont let die! Haha
DH has to work tomorrow. There's some sort of kids concert going on at the library that I'm thinking about taking my toddler to. Sunday we're putting up the tree! Excited!
We'll be searching for the flickering candle bulbs for our electric menorah that we put in the front window. Last year we had a mix of different bulbs that just looked bad but the only time of year we can find the bulbs is around now when people get them for the Christmas window candles.
Watching all the Christmas movies I recorded this week, and getting that recliner delivered tomorrow. Then on Sunday getting family pictures done with us, my parents, and grandma. Then we are telling her I'm pregnant. Should be fun.
DH comes back from his business trip Sat at 6 am (red-eyes blow). So, Sat will be a low key day of building practice cabinet doors for our kitchen re-do (lawd, help), and then Christmas tree-ing! Sunday is chore/rest day, and I'm seeing 2 of my oldest friends in the afternoon to share my news. Should be fun!
Tonight, I'm binging on leftover spaghetti, popsicles, and Christmas movies.
Working on reports tonight so I won't be suicidal come Monday. Just trying to get through the next two weeks and then I can have a break. Tomorrow we have company spending the day with us do I'll be cleaning tomorrow, a Christmas parade tomorrow morning, and hopefully getting a tree and decorating on Sunday!
Even though my birthday is today, we will be celebrating on Sunday. My husband has been planning a surprise 30th birthday for months and unfortunately wasn't too good about hiding the emails! Needless to say it's no longer a surprise, but it will be fun nonetheless. Now gotta figure out what to wear to hide the blump since we aren't telling our family until Christmas.
My dh is out of town until late tomorrow night so my best friend is coming to stay with me tonight. Saturday we're Gonna do some Christmas cookie baking for a cookie swap on sunday. Plus I'll be putting up our tree on sunday morning and posting our announcement (I got a cute ornament to take a pic of on the tree). So many exciting things!
Tomorrow, I'll be spending all day writing a term paper because my NT scan falls right smack dab in the middle of the class it's for so now I have to turn it in a few days early. Ugh.
Sunday is my birthday! I told H I didn't want him to ask me "what do you want to do for your birthday" and just plan something so we'll see what he comes up with!
Helping my brother and SIL paint their new house tomorrow. Then Sunday is my niece's dedication followed by family photos with my in laws. I'm just relieved I found a dress to wear that I don't look fat or pregnant in. Is it bad that I'm contemplating returning it after the pictures since I won't be able to wear it again anytime soon?
DD left around 5. Since then I have had a date night with DH, cleaned the car, and started the switch of DD going to a big girl room with a toddler bed. I'm excited to sleep in tomorrow and wrap some presents. Then I am working a wedding with a friend and back to DD's big girl room switch. I'm gonna need coffee!
I feel like the vast majority here are FTM and I'm kind of jealous of your weekends lol. Of course I love my little man but I miss those childless weekends of doing whatever we wanted.
This weekend we have the tree and decorating to do, a kids birthday party and two parades. Plus somehow fitting in cleaning the house and getting groceries...
DH, DD and I went to the botanical gardens last night to see their big Christmas light display and we are going to cut down our tree this weekend I can't wait!
This morning is my cookie exchange party that I do every year. About a dozen friends will be over (with their yummy cookies). Tonight is our neighborhood tree lighting, which we will walk over to with the kids, and some friends might come along. Tomorrow is just church, and possibly driving to a light display that evening.
Last night we went grocery shopping to get that out of the way. We usually don't keep a ton of junk good in the house but we went overboard last night everything just looked so good!
The rest of the weekend will be filled with football (we're definitely watching the Big Ten Championship game @huskerfamily although I'm sad OSU isn't in it lol), major house cleaning, studying (finals are this week), and Christmas decorating!!

I'm a little jealous of all you girls who get to go cut down your Christmas tree. I live in South Florida so we just pick them off the tree lot already cut down. It's fun but definitely not as much of an experience as cutting down your own tree!
I don't have any real plans. Probably just finishing up decorating. There is a Christmas show put on by a church downtown that I have been wanting to go to for the past 3 years. Its a huge production. Its only on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. I hope DH will buy tickets soon. We do most of our Christmas shopping on Amazon. I usually nag DH to go Christmas shopping with me and then I usually end up regretting it. Our shopping styles totally clash and we usually end up snapping at each other. I take my time and he likes to rush rush rush and buy the first thing he sees. The good thing is we don't buy gifts for each other or any adults just our 2 kids and 2 nephews and one or two kids of close friends.
We did Christmas decorations at my moms last night. I have my sister in laws baby shower tonight and tomorrow is a friends shower and a birthday party for DD. Weekends fill up fast this time of year for us.
