Baby isn't the only one getting chunkier :-(

I lost all of my baby weight the first week and this is my 4th child. I gained it all back after the 3rd week because of her scedule and waking up during the nights. So 1am, oh look at that piece of bread with butter I should taste. She wakes up again at 3am, look at that chocolate bar I should try lol. This is so difficult to not concentrate on cravings. Sure it's easy to say not buy it but I do have a family of 5 and they enjoy their sweets also. I Now REPLACED My cravings with green grapes to the point I buy 4 huge packs a week. Wow. My tubes are tied and yet I look pregnant yet again after my 3 month old daughter. I really hope with post partum that I can become more motivated.

  • I feel your pain. I was actually down 18lbs from my prepregnancy weight by the time LO was 4 weeks old. He's 12 weeks now and I've gained it all back. I'm still struggling to cook so snack foods and premade stuff are basically my goto which is awful.

  • I'm totally in the same boat. I only lost 10 lbs of the 40 I gained & now I've put those 10 back on. I thought breastfeeding was supposed to magically make me thin, lol!
  • I lost it all in a week! But I'm getting so fat now! I used to go on very long walks and that's been hard to do and I have been snacking constantly on sweets.
  • I was down 5 lbs under my pre pregnancy weight at my six month appointment. It's creeping back. I just have SUCH a sweet tooth, and there are so many holiday goodies, I just can't resist!!!

  • Thank you for not making me feel alone lol.
It's very true with the Premade food and snacks. I now have a stroller to walk around or jog but the weather hasn't been good and of course here comes the snow. I am a sahm and can easily join a gym but my husband doesn't trust anyone with the baby yet.
  • Yep, same here. Lost it all in the first week and now I'm rapidly gaining it back. Not getting exercise, not getting sleep, eating crap... I just can't get myself organized or motivated enough to change these things but it must happen soon! I was so excited that it came off so easily right after birth. Boo.
  • I have wedding anniversary pics in June so I have to get motivated asap. I've even made my hubby snack with me and he's gained a ton and blames me. We are such a mess together with this weight blah
  • I was on my pp period for over two weeks! It was hell, and I was hungry the entire time, 24/7! And I'm always a bottomless pit on my period, too. It was so frustrating and I hit up Taco Bell A LOT! Ops! Soooo, now I look the same but feel disgusting, and have been chugging water to clean my system out. Yuck. I just need to get in my exercise room but I can't seem to get motivated. I have 4 huge laundry baskets of clean clothes that won't put themselves away. A half decorated tree. A mountain of Christmas gifts that need wrapped and lots more to go buy. Ugh.
  • Me too, I feel and look like crap. My old
Clothes don't fit so I'm stuck in yoga pants and big tshirts. I hardly have the energy to make myself something to eat so I don't see how working out is going to be any easier. I'm giving myself until after Christmas to start fresh. I don't know why but I am always hungry lately and a bottomless pit. I actually said to my DH yesterday that if I'm pregnant again (we've used condoms every time but still) I'm gonna be pissed because I shouldn't be this hungry all the tjme
  • LO is 2 months old and I haven't been on a scale since I was 35weeks pregnant. I'm afraid to look. However I can tell I'm no where near the size 6 I used to be.
  • I would highly recommend getting your thyroid checked! I hadn't lost any weight and I also thought I had PPD- it turns out my thyroid levels were just really off. I'm feeling so much better after just a few weeks!
  • Thank you I will scedule a check up to see what's going on. My period makes things worse and now with being bloated on top of that is the worse.
@LoveLee85 I agree. With so many things going on around the house to do I'm always the last to eat dinner and so on. I'll start after the holidays with my diet.
  • I haven't gotten my period yet at 11 weeks postpartum but I keep having symptoms - cramps, salt cravings, bloating. I wish it would just hurry up and come back already.

  • I lost the baby weight super fast was only up about 10 pounds from my pre pregnancy weight when I was 40 weeks pregnant. I had horrible nausea pretty much my entire pregnancy so I was under my pre pregnancy weight before I left the hospital... we will see how long this lasts lol. I am hungry all the time now! I am BF but I feel like my body is trying to make up for all the food I couldn't eat didn't want to eat or did and threw up during pregnancy lol.
  • @ahoneycutt12 I hope it goes well. It's a bad place to be in after. It's so hard keeping the weight off
  • I feel you! I lost 20 of my 30 by 4 weeks pp and have slowly been gaining it back EVEN THOUGH I have been working out 5-6x a week, and eating 5-6 small, super clean meals a day. It's so annoying. If there isn't a budge in my weight by Jan I will get my thyroid checked, because this is crazy. I honestly don't know how I would try harder without risking losing my milk supply.
  • Im getting my thyroid checked also. I lost the weight while breast feeding but once it dried up the weight was put on quicker. I'm starting to exercise now in between the other 20 house duties lol
  • I feel ya, OP. I lost all my weight right after baby was born, but then gained some back when my appetite came back. Gained a little over half of my weight back. Nothing fits right and the closest gym is over 20 minutes from my house, so it takes forever to get there work out and get back. I don't have time for a 2 hr trip like that! The weather is starting to get cooler and it gets dark by 530, so walking in my neighborhood after work is difficult too! Ahh!
  • My baby is sitting happy in a mommaroo right now! So, I'm doing lunges and squats using my body weight. Booty down to almost the floor. Starting NOW! I'm ready to quit complaining and do something. I want my strong, muscular legs back. I'm not about 'skinny', even though that's my body type. I work hard to have muscles. Right now I just feel soft and weak. I want my son to grow up watching his mom lifting and working hard so he knows women are tough, too! No delicate flower here. Ready. SET. GO!!
  • I read if you were a chronic dieter before baby, your body may hold onto lbs longer, especially if you are BFing. It's to make sure you don't go into starvation mode and to ensure baby gets what it needs. So that totally effing blows. I have dieted in one way or another off and on my whole freakin life. I don't know what I gained or where I'm at now but it's sure no where near what is acceptable.
  • Ugh! Gained 3 more lbs
  • No I'm sorry @chelseaj
Omg u have family to see sat and if I get that are you pregnant again question I'm walking put because I'm bloated also lol.
  • Same here. Idk my weight but I'm sure it hasn't budged. Maybe even gained some back. With my last child I was so motivated to lose weight I ate good and did insanity. Now I have no motivation and I just eat cereal and cookies all the time. Seriously have to kick my butt into gear
