I can't even sit up straight cause it hurts almost feels like he could fall out hes so low

Re: 28 weeks babys breech and legs are deep in my girl parts painful

  • I haven't experienced this but 28 weeks is not too late for him to turn head down. Babies have flipped much later than this. Try leaning over a birth ball or on all fours for ten minutes morning and evening. The key is to keep your pelvis open, and if it does nothing else this will help take the pressure off your pelvis a little. Good luck x

  • My DD did this. Very uncomfortable! She kept flipping all the way up until 40 weeks. When I was I labor the tied rolled towels to my belly to ensure she would not go breach during.
  • I'm not quite as far along as you are, but I'm 21 weeks and at my 20 week sonogram the technician stated my baby was breech.  His head is at my belly button and bottom/legs are at my pelvis.  She stated this isn't horribly uncommon at this point and we have plenty of time to wait for him to potentially turn.
I know it's incredibly uncomfortable, but do your best to manage the pain and don't stress over your LO's position at this point.
My technician also said that stress on the mother causes your LO to be less active.  The less you stress, the more active your LO will be, and if that's the case you might have a better chance of her turning.
    Good luck to you!!!!

  • I'm 28 and 1 day and baby is still turning and moving back and fourth all the time. You still have plenty of time. It might change overnight and back again so I wouldn't worry too much yet
  • FYI DS2 didn't go head down until 35 weeks.  You still have time.

  • Im 30 weeks and same thing! Its so painful. Especially when im working out i can feel him way in my vagina. Its scares me sometimes. I go to the doctor today im scared she'll tell me no more work outs since how painful its been with the baby having his feet in that area. Every time he kicks when he's like that has me running to a bathroom. I walked out of the grocery store the other day it kept making me have to pee.... I feel your pain.
  • Sorry:/ My first was breech until just before 38 weeks and it was super uncomfortable. I remember the feeling of his head in my ribs more than anything - not being able to sit in a comfortable position, ever. Hang in there!

FWIW If baby stays breech, I had great success with Webster treatment at the chiro. This got him to turn when nothing else did.

Thanks everyone for all the support and advice i greatly appreciate it!

P.s Dr is sending me for another altrasound to check up on things.. also put me on bedrest! Dr doesn't want me to do anything that could keep him in the position or wiggling down any further because he could break my water with his feet and come early! So lots of relaxing for this mama!

@Laurie1807 my doctor told me pretty much the same thing yestetday.... To cut back on activity and in 2 weeks......Doing an ultrasound to check on everything...... If it doesnt stop and he doesn't flip then im looking at bed rest for same reasons. Hoping these babies flip for us!
  • 37 weeks, my boy flipped back and forth until 33 weeks. You have plenty of time
  • This is actually something that a chiropractor can help you through. My chiropractor can usually turn a breach baby and frequent visits can help keep baby turned.
