Choroid Plexus Cyst

Hey so I am 16 plus 5 days pregnant and I had an ultrasound done today. They found a cyst on the baby's brain. I was told that this is a possible marker for genetic abnormalities and they now need to do further testing. Has anyone been through this and everything turn out ok? I have just been absolutely sick about it all day.

    I've seen several threads on this topic and one quite recently. I bet if you search and read them you'll feel reassured! A soft marker was found on my baby's heart at our A/S - an echogenic cardiac focus. I understand the extreme stress and worry you're going through! However, in the absence of other markers these things are rarely causes for concern. You will have further testing but it will hopefully rule out any problems. I had a level two ultrasound and the spot was still there so I decided to get the Harmony Test done which thankfully revealed no chromosomal issues.
    This can be heartbreaking news, especially when it's fresh news, but I really think you shouldn't be too worried. Please search for other threads for reassurance, I'll have a look for you. Best of luck.

    Thanks ladies. I just found the other thread and then felt silly for posting a duplicate. Once the doctor read me the results I understood why the ultrasound tech was telling me about the four chambers he was seeing on the heart plus the 3 arteries or vessels on the umbilical cord. I am very thankful that the tech was so sneaky about telling me those things so I wouldn't be as worried when I started googling.
