You don't have to do the books! I just did cause it's fun!! The elf comes with a book that explains how she works, she moves from place to place every night and watches to report to Santa if you have been naughty or nice! It's huge here in Canada right now!

I have been wanting to do this for years! I plan on waiting until next year though when LO is bigger and can find the Elf in the mornings.
