Intimacy After BFP

My first beta was November 24th and the second was November 30th, both positive. My first ultrasound with our RE will be December 17th. We have been told that I can't have an orgasm until after that first ultrasound and possibly not at all in the first trimester. Have any of you also been told this? *child mentioned* During my non IVF pregnancy I wasn't told to abstain from sex and I carried our lovely girl full term. Does going through IVF make it all different?

    I was told the same thing. After my ultrasound I was given the okay. I think the main reason is in case something does happen you don't blame yourself. I looked into it and most people agree it's fine unless your pregnancy isn't normal which may be why they say to wait till after the first ultrasound.
