Up for 3 nights w early labor...

I know it's all helping me towards delivery, but I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. Non painful contractions every 7 minutes all night long then I wake up and they stop being organized during the day! i was induced with my first, and never really experienced any pre labor. I know it's all normal, but I'm so scared of being exhausted by the time the baby arrives...anyone else?

Re: Up for 3 nights w early labor...

  • I had this for 9 weeks before I had my first. Doesn't necessarily mean pre-labor. I definitely wouldn't lose sleep over it.

  • I'm in a similar boat - rounds of labor pains with periods of nothing. Frustrating.
  • Yeah I feel like I'm going into labor literally every night, and every morning wake up and nothing! This has been going on for about 5 days now.
  • Yep...been over a week of bloody show and contractions. Im almost 5 cms. Going in tonight to be induced (by breaking water only as i am a vbac). It's been rough. Ready to meet my baby girl.
  • I'm sort of in the same boat. Except my water broke at 5am this morning and I haven't had any feelings I would consider painful... Worried I'll go over the 24 hrs and need to be induced
  • I didn't get much a sleep before my first because of those preterm labors but looking back maybe should have tried to ignore them. That's my motto somewhat on this third go around. If it's not hurting, probably not worth losing sleep over it. Pretty sure I will wake up when it's time.

PS This is my take on the matter and I am no one's doctor. Please follow your doctor's advice.
  • @AnnH74 with my first I waited 24 hours after my water broke before going to the hospital because my labor took awhile to kick in but by then I was 6 cm
  • This has happened to me but typically in a few hour spurts. Typically something else wakes me up like hip pain, back pain etc. I realized the increased contractions at night may be related to decreased fluid intake. I have been trying to drink more before bed and if I wake up. I have to pee more but have less contractions.
