How many weeks are you? Fruit? 14w today and a lemon.

Rants/Raves? I am starting to feel more like myself every day. Now I am really looking forward to trying to work a little exercise back into my routine.

Dr. Appointment updates? I had a really disappointing appointment yesterday. I have been spotting since Monday last week, and Wednesday last week had an u/s and everything looked normal. Yesterday I was scheduled to have my NT Scan. My OB required I scheduled it during my 13th week for the best readings. I was 13w6d. I even asked the scheduler, are you sure thats OK? The cut off is 14 weeks. She assured me it would be fine. So yesterday I went in for my scan, and my babe was too big to get the scan. Head to rump was 8.44 cm and 8.40 cm was the max for the test to be valid. So that was that. She printed a pic and sent us home. At least I know LO is still in there and kicking. Comforting now that I am on day 12 of spotting... I think it's about 2 weeks until my next appointment... tick tock...

Rants/raves: Been nursing a sore/stiff neck since Thanksgiving day. It's getting better, but still tender. It's always worst in the morning, so I'm not sure if my pillow is partially to blame or what. I've been sleeping in a recliner for a week because it's the most comfortable, but I miss my bed and DH.

Dr appt updates: Going in for my 2nd appt today! Hoping all continues to look good.

How many weeks are you? Fruit? 13 weeks today, a peach

Rants/Raves? not really, I am happy to have my house back to myself after DH's grandmother had been staying with us for the last 2 weeks. She flew home yesterday.

Dr. Appointment updates? I got my Harmony results back and baby is low risk for what they tested for. YAY! I am team green so I made sure to tell them to leave out the gender testing. I have my NT scan scheduled for Tuesday. It was supposed to be today but I rescheduled it because DH was SUPPOSED to be out of town today. He ended up cancelling his trip but there was no way I could get the appointment back. Now I am nervous my appointment will be too late. I had the same conversation as you @NicknShan with the person who rescheduled my appointment. First she said Tuesday might be too late because I would be 13weeks+5 days even though I think Tuesday I would be 13 weeks+4days. Then she said it would be fine. PLUS when I had my first ultrasound at my OB at 9 weeks she said I was a few days behind what I thought I was according to my LMP. She said I would have my dates confirmed at the NT scan. So I figure according to my OB I would only be 13 weeks + 1 day.

GTKY: What are 3 things on you bucket list? Is this a bucket list of things to do before I die? I don't have one of those. I don't like thinking about death. It scares and depresses me.

If it's a list of things to do before baby comes, I would love to take one last family vacation, I would also love to take a cruise with just me and DH (both of us have never been), and I would love to add another bedroom to our house, but with our finances right now, I don't think any of that will happen.

Rants/Raves? Just spent nearly twenty minutes filling out forms that I filled out for my doctor in October. Why couldn't they just have them forwarded? Blah.

Dr. Appointment updates? I'm waiting for my NT scan right now. Regular check up next Friday.

@Trinirican3ondway I prefer to think of the "bucket list" as things I want to accomplish throughout a rich, full, satisfying life. Not so much a "do these things before I die" list. Maybe that would work for you, too.

@Trinirican3ondway (2nd time I have tagged you today! I will have that name memorized soon) :-)

We were measuring a bit big last Wednesday, when I was 12w5d we measured 13w1 (I breed big babies). ha - So, hopefully you are in the clear! And the bucket list can be anything you want. I hate the thought of death too. It was one of my biggest fears until my teenage years, and I get very uncomfortable even talking about it. A cruise sounds nice!

@parsonsperson sorry about the neck

Do you have a good pillow to support your neck, even on the recliner? What did you do to tweak it?

@hockeyfan42 We made it to Ireland this summer with my parents (all very Irish people) and I must say I am so glad it is the number one thing on your list. It was the trip of a lifetime! I can't wait to go back!

I would highly recommend you go see a good chiropractor. I was never a fan up until this past June. I bought new firm pillows (what I usually buy) after DH and I got fed up with not being able to sleep on our old flat pillows. BIG mistake. After 1 night of sleep I had pain in my back that felt like I desperately needed to pop something behind my shoulder blade. No matter what I tried nothing worked. I couldn't even turn my head without it hurting my back which made driving difficult, getting up from sitting or lying down was PAINFUL. After the first adjustment with the chiropractor I felt 70-80% better and it improved rapidly from there. I hope you are able to get some relief soon!

Rants/Raves? Not much to rant about today, just happy it's Friday. Our house project this month is to replace all of the old ass ceiling fans and lights upstairs, so tonight we're going to pick those up. Sunday we are getting our Christmas tree finally!

Dr. Appointment updates? My second appt is on the 14th. I'm kind of bummed because standard practice at my clinic is to not do a first ultrasound until 20 weeks if you're considered low risk. So I've got a while to wait yet unless push them to do an elective, which I won't.

GTKY: What are 3 things on you bucket list?

- Hike the Grand Canyon

- Skydiving

- Travel and explore the entire 50 states

@mrsschmity Good luck with the home improvements this weekend :-) Did they offer you the NT Scan? Or is that not covered through insurance? Whatever the case, hope the time flies until you can see LO :-) If they let you schedule in advance, I would try and book out as many appointments as you can. I am booked through 28 weeks. It's nice to have the a/s appointment on the calendar! I have mine booked when we are 19w5d.

How many weeks are you? Fruit? 11 weeks today! Baby is the size of a poker chip or a brussel sprout (the Ovia app gives you options)

Rants/Raves? I can't sleep at night... I fall hard asleep at 10 or 11 and then am wide awake at like 2am with so much bloating in my stomach that it is painful. My diet has lots of fiber, and I drink tons of water... I do not know how to fix this! Rave: Tonight I'm telling all of my close girlfriends... I wasn't looking forward to it yesterday but I talked to my cousin's wife a bit last night & we came up with a way to tell them so that will be a relief. I wish I had my 12 week scan before then, but I wont see them all again before Christmas so its now or never if I'm doing it in person!

Dr. Appointment updates? My 12 week U/S is one week from today! Then the following week I'll have my NT scan & testing... so looking forward to seeing baby again soon!

GTKY: What are 3 things on you bucket list? I'd like to buy a house (we've been renting a while!), travel to Hawaii, and raise a few kids (already working on one!) .

As far as I know, I have not had the NT scan. I guess they do an "AFP" test at 15-18 weeks to screen for Down's Syndrome and neural tube defects? I think that is just a blood test though. Another handout I got from my dr says the Quad Screen is done between 15 and 21 weeks. It's a little confusing to me. They only have me book my next follow up appt in advance. I go in every 4 weeks, which I think is normal up to 28 weeks. My next appt I'll be about 14 weeks, and the following one I'll be 18 weeks. So maybe they'll do an US at my 18 week appt.

Can you tell I'm a newbie at this lol

*Edited to add that I think the reason they have not done, nor offered, the NT scan may be because we have no history of genetic disorders in our families?

Rants/Raves? I'm having serious anxiety about sending out our Christmas cards this year; they are our announcements. I have really enjoyed no one knowing and I'm not ready to tell, but I know it's time. DH is ready to be able to tell work. MIL is wanting us to send a card to all of these random people that we NEVER talk to and I feel like it's weird. All because she wants a thousand calls congratulating her.

Dr. Appointment updates? We had our NT Scan yesterday and the same thing happened to us that happened to @NicknShan. We measured to big for the tests once they started, but the Dr. came in and said, "we can still do the blood work if you really want, but it will probably be inconclusive." Umm... Get poked with a needle for almost a positive bad result that means nothing? No thanks. Baby was healthy and looked good though, so I'm not too worried about not getting that test.

GTKY: What are 3 things on you bucket list? Before baby comes bucket list... We HAVE to replace the carpet in our house. It is 26 years old (DH grew up in the house we live in and was potty trained on this carpet.. YUCK!) Also, I'd love to get the popcorn off the ceiling in our room and the baby's room. And, we want to go snowboarding this winter before we are seriously sidelined because someone will have to watch LO while the other rides down the mountain.

@gray51015 my MIL is the same, she wants us to make a huge big announcement and send it to everyone she has ever met or talked to. We aren't even doing an announcement, we'll tell people who we want to tell and everyone else can find out as they do. Good luck with sending out your cards though, I'm really stressing about telling my extended family too.

Happy its Friday, hoping my symptoms are waning for real this time.

Dr. Appointment updates?
11 days until my NT scan! With a family history of downs and major neural tube defects they had no problem scheduling it for me despite being in my mid 20s. I can't wait to see/hear my baby again and just hope they are healthy and doing well!

I feel so lame here, I have no idea!

Rants/Raves? Having a GIRL! I was so convinced I'd be a mamma of boys. I am kind of sad that my son won't grow up with a brother, but so excited to be the mother of a little girl. I really didn't think I would get that opportunity.

Dr. Appointment updates? Blood test results came back negative for everything, so that is a huge blessing. Very excited. When the nurse called with the results and started to tell me the sex, as soon as she said "girl" I burst into tears. LOL. Thanks hormones! I missed my appointment this week, I swear they had it scheduled for next week, so I go in for my next appointment on Tuesday.

How many weeks are you? Fruit? 12 weeks, plum

Rants/Raves? I had a long, stressful week at work and I am so glad it's Friday (I work from home on Fridays)! This weekend DH and I are going skiing and I'm excited! We had a really bad winter last year and barely got any time on the slopes. So before I get too big and while my energy is a little better, I'm going to ski my heart out! We are also going to start telling people about the baby now that I hit the 12 week mark. We're going to call parents and siblings this weekend (except my brother who will be coming over for dinner next week) and on Monday I'm telling my boss and co-workers. My belly is definitely starting to get tougher to hide so I'm relieved to not have to worry about it anymore.

Dr. Appointment updates? Next appointment is in 2 weeks and is my first Centering appointment. I'm very curious about how these will work.

GTKY: What are 3 things on you bucket list?

1. Visit Peru and Machu Picchu

2. Visit all 50 states

3. Write a book (even if no one will publish it)

DH and I have always wanted to go! My family is only part Irish, but I just want to see it. So much history and so pretty. DH wants to drink all the beers, naturally.

We never took a honeymoon, but we're hoping to take a trip to Ireland for an anniversary!

Had my first appointment with my midwife yesterday. She wasn't able to find the heartbeat, which she assured me is quite normal, but of course I'm still nervous. Next week I meet a potential new family doctor, & have an ultrasound scheduled for Friday.

1. Do an Italy/Paris trip (combined)

2. NYC at Christmas (with snow..it's a must)

3. Go to the Ellen DeGeneres show

@NicknShan and @Trinirican3ondway thanks, ladies, for the concern and suggestions!

I am definitely interested in seeing a chiro, as I've heard a lot of people say they had great results that way. Especially since it's been a week now. I'm used to stuff like this clearing up within a day or two. I do have a special neck pillow for support on the recliner, and that definitely feels good/helps while I'm using it. I don't exactly know how I did this to myself--woke up with a mild to moderate stiffness, then later that evening I sat up from lying down and it REALLY hurt. And getting up/lying down...I likened it to labor pain, it was so intense. My DH was like, "Oh man. That bad?" Thankfully it IS improving, and the really intense pain was just one night.

Live overseas. Ride on a train from one end of Russisa to the other while awake so I can see 12 time zones in a short period of time (I will sleep during the trip, just not on the train). Go to a taping of the Ellen Show.

I love the Thailand bucket list item. We honeymooned there and it was amazing. Great food, beautiful beaches, and a lot of fun things to see!

How many weeks are you? Fruit? 13, peach! Rants/Raves? Eh, not much. My mouth has been super dry despite drinking 90 to 120 oz of water a day, so that's a bit concerning. I have read that it can be normal, or can be a sign of GD, which I never had with DD so wasn't really concerned but now I am. Oh and I haven't even thought about starting on my Christmas shopping and have 0 desire to do so. Dr. Appointment updates? Next one is Dec 24, won't get an ultraound this time, will finally get to hear the heartbeat though! Seems very far away GTKY: What are 3 things on your bucket list? 1. Move out of the hellhole city we live in now. Asap actually 2. Be a SAHM 3.Go to Scotland

HI ladies! This is my first time participating in the ticker change. 11 weeks/ lime I'm feeling much better today so I hope my nausea is going away. My next appointment is the NT scan/ dr appt on the 15. GTKY 1. I'd love to go to Spain one day. 2. Go to all 50 states 3. ?
