Freebies/Samples List Them Here

If there was a thread on this previously, I apologize.  I did not see one when I searched, but I could have used the wrong search terms.

Anyway, I figured this might could be a good thread to share LEGITIMATE websites that offer samples when you sign up for their product's websites and stuff.  I have heard of sites like Enfamil (I think it was them) sending out samples.    I'm sure there are others out there.

Share away!

  • Formula companies give out lots of samples. Many pediatrician offices get gallon jugs of prepared formula as samples to give out to patients if you want to go with formula.
On the breastfeeding front, the freebies are more in the form of support. Le Leche League and Kelly Mom websites have a lot of free resources, and the LactMed phone app is free and is a great place to check the safety category of medications for breastfeeding (which sometimes differ from the pregnancy categories). Uddercovers almost always has a promocode for a free feeding/pumping cover, but they do charge shipping. Sometimes Traditional Medicines will send out samples of their Mother's Milk tea, but samples aren't listed as available at the moment...I hope they bring that freebie back. Lansinoh always gives out free samples too. Usually hospitals provide a sample of nipple cream from them.
  • Honest Co. (the one owned by Jessica Alba) will send you samples of their products. After you get the samples they will automatically sign you up to receive their monthly bundle. So if you just want some samples you have to go into your account before they bill you for the next month and cancel

Amazon Prime has a welcome box when you sign up for Amazon mom (like Prime) I signed up for a prime account (free month trial) while I was making my registry and when I went to get the welcome box they were out and didn't get any in for the rest of the month. So I canceled my prime account. I've read that they give good samples and large sizes, but it wasn't worth paying for Amazon Prime more for me.
  • Oh! Also, on the childproofing front, Ikea offers free furniture to wall anchoring kits through their website here: https://info.ikea-usa.com/secureitkits/en-us -- you can get as many as 20! Order ahead of time because the shipping takes a while. P & G offers free samples including cabinet locks, you can sign up here: https://www.pgeveryday.com/tag/product-samples-offers

This blog has a bunch of freebies listed, though some that require coupon codes are expired: https://www.thesavvybump.com/baby-freebies/
  • Gosh I love free stuff.
  • Double-post here. If you're following the Babies and Technology thread, you may have already seen this (sorry!).

This book was a great read in terms of behavioral psychology, intellect, and making decisions about things like technology. It includes a lot of information about best parenting practices. It's research-based, but doesn't read like a research report at all. You can get it for free through an Audible Amazon trial. https://www.amazon.com/Brain-Rules-Baby-Updated-Expanded/dp/B00N9ARG28/ref=tmm_aud_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1449251232&sr=8-1
  • I love freebies! Picked up my target bag and will do the same at babies r us. As there is such a huge variety on baby products out there, it doesn't hurt to try out different samples first. I saw that gerber offers a hospital kit at participating hospitals. Mine is not one of them so I sent them an email. Got an answer back a day later. Unfortunately they can't send me the hospital kit as it is strictly for participating hospitals, but they will put a prenatal welcome package together  happy about the small things in life
  • @caterin how do you find out if your hospital is a participating hospital?

  • @sillyfox. On Gerber's page you can enter your zip code. Mine just didn't pop up. There might be a chance, that my doctor's office might do it so I will print it out and take it to my next doctor's visit. If not, they offer maybe something else from a different brand.
  • I got free formula samples from Pinchme.com! They send baby samples put separate bcuz they give more than most of their other samples.
  • @maybaby0519 I signed up for this today! It said there are no samples available for me right now. Will see, maybe something pops up in the next few weeks and I might be eligible. I was off today. My whole house is clean, even curled my hair up and painted my nails ( major motivation here today lol) was so bored, just started writing some companies if they provide samples. Burt Bee's responded right away and will send two samples! Oh Lordy, I don't want to become that freaky coupon lady but it's fun trying out different things

  • I think most of us make frequent trips to babies r us right now. why not pick up a freebie as well? ;-)

I joined Pinchme.com not too long ago as well, and I'm really hoping it works!
