Once you go medical grade pump, it's hard to go back!

I just returned my medical grade rental that I used for about 3 months, I had started with the Ameda Purely Yours but was order the medical grade by my LC due to some issues. Now that the issues have resolved, and I'm just pumping for hen I go back to work, I had to send it back. I'm sitting here using the Purely Yours again and man is it different! I'm still getting the same amount but you have to REALLY play around with the speed/suction and it "pinches" more than the Medela Symphony.

Grateful I had the medical grade as long as I did, but now I miss it!

Anyone else go through this yet?

  • I thought about purchasing the parts for the symphony. My employer provides the pumps but I've just been bringing mine from home. I was wondering if I would pump quicker while at work.

  • @kristyn831 I feel like it took the same amount of time, however, I pump very inconsistent amounts so it's kind of hard for me to gauge accurately. With the symphony, it was more effortless and felt better on the tatas...maybe it extracted more because I was more relaxed?

  • I have been EPing since day 1 with my little PISA. I just got a spectra S1, though, and LOVE LOVE LOVE it. Seriously, you can barely even feel it, and I have cut my pumping time almost in half (which has been a lifesaver!). I'll post if anything changes, but for now I highly recommend (and it was only $164 on Amazon)
