I've been told to rest as much as possible and keep my feet up and am looking for something good to watch too. I'm re-watching Big Bang theory right now and the ultimate fighter but I still have 4+ weeks of this and could use some ideas too.
The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt on Netflix is fun. Master of None is new on Netflix and I've only seen a few episodes but was enjoying it. The earlier seasons of house of cards are good. I am always cycling through 30 Rock, the office and arrested development.
Mindy project Project runway all Stars Master chef junior Modern family Gotham Big band theory The librarian (just started watching this. It's actually pretty good) Breaking bad
DH and I just started watching Vikings, on hulu. Its excellent if you don't mind some gore with your TV shows. I also second PP who recommended Jane the Virgin - I adore that show!
I've gotten into The 100 and Arrow on Netflix. When my daughter is awake she asks for "the cat show" which is the kids movie Going Home with an alien and a little girl (and her cat). Otherwise I may rewatch How I met your mother, just not the last season
I have been wanting to start a thread for movies and my app won't let me! Glad somebody did! As for movies, I've mostly been watching kids' movies. But when I was pregnant with my son, I watched Dirty Dancing, literally every day. For shows, I've never had Netflix or Hulu, so excuse my lack of knowledge, but I an completely hooked on: How to Get Away With Murder Blindspot Code Black
I second "Reign." It's totally a "teen" show, but it's set in medieval France. The story revolves around Mary Queen of Scots and Francis, King of France. It's SO cheesy and dramatic, but I'm a sucker for anything historical (despite the fact that basically NONE of the history is accurate).
I also second "How to Get Away With Murder." It's about a group of law students who are studying criminal law and find themselves in the middle of a murder that they have to cover up. Not my typical show, but SO well done.
I'm also into Spanish soap operas right now (don't ask why...couldn't tell you), and I LOVE Velvet. It's set in a 1950's department store in Spain. Lots of hunky Spanish dudes, and pretty costumes.
Another show I'm obsessed with is "Orphan Black." I can't remember if it's on Hulu or Amazon Prime, but if you have either of those, check it out. The story starts with a woman, named Sarah, witnessing the suicide of another woman who looks like she could be her twin. She then gets pulled into the dead woman's world, and everything takes off from there.
Ooooh, and "Peaky Blinders." It's about a 1920's gang in Birmingham, England, and stars Cillian Murphy. It's wild and crazy, and SO good.
I know I'm going overboard here, but I also love "Call the Midwife." It follows the story of a group of East London midwives in the 1950's.
Some of my other faves: Downton Abbey, Fixer Upper, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia...this list could go on.
Echoing a lot of PPs...also if you have Hulu: For fun I like to pick shows based on my hormones/feelings
For general reality show binging: Project Runway America's Next Top Model If you want to feel empowered/sexy The Good Wife
If you're feeling sappy/lovey/excited about family: Gilmore Girls Parenthood
And if you have great taste and maybe are feeling a little ragey .. Fargo. Especially if you liked Breaking Bad. It's entertaining, funny, dark, violent, everything.
I second the how to get away with murder. The first season is on netflix and the second is in progress on Hulu. Also Quantico on Hulu is good. I've just starting watching all of the seasons of entourage on amazon prime. I'm on the third season and love it.
How has no one mentioned Downton Abbey or Orange is the New Black yet????
Downton Abbey was my lifesaver when I was recovering from jaw surgery. I love that show. The new season hits in January so if you're due later in the month you'll get to see it.
If you know how to find shows online (not Netflix or Hulu) then I would definitely recommend Desperate Housewives. I'm such a junkie for that show, but it was taken off Netflix several months ago. Community is also a good one to search online.
But as for stuff on Netflix, I also agree that you should try American Horror Story, The Office, and Master of None.
The originals, the walking dead, SoA, jericho, Friday night lights
If you have hulu watch Nashville
Man, Jericho was such a good show. I was so sad when it was cancelled.
If you like SciFi, I love Doctor Who (I'm quite obsessed and have a quote from the show inside my wedding band).
I have to admit my guilty pleasure has been 16 and Pregnant. I don't usually do reality TV but this show is really entertaining to me for some reason. Though I do find myself becoming pretty irate with the teenage fathers.

My mom is in her late 40s and enjoys 16 and pregnant/teen mom and even I have to admit it's strangely entertaining.

Also mine and my moms guilty pleasure. I could binge watch it for days! Sometimes it makes me feel a little better, like okay I have my life together better than these girls, it'll all be okay.

Nice selection, some things for when feeling one way, others for when I can't take drama or whatever. Great work!
I watched Twinsters the other day and really liked it for some reason.
