Graduated from my RE!!

So I had a DE transfer mid-Sept and just went in for my second scan. I'm 9w2d and he said the baby looked great. So he's graduating me to my regular OBGYN. I did a guarantee program, so I dare say that I average out those may take a couple of cycles. Stopping my shots next week, thank God. I'm not sure if others have experienced this, but after more than 100 shots of prog and estrogen, the tissue is toughed up and it's much more difficult to get the needles in nowadays. I've got my 11 week and 13 week set up.

I guess I am letting myself get a little excited now. I was still shaking and crying before the exam--too much heartache in those things. But the doc felt confident (over the "cautiously optimistic" he felt the last time) that things were going to go well. I hope I am a success story and that this provides some hope for those who have entered into donor egg land. I'll be happy when they put that baby on my chest and say congrats. One step at a time.

First of all CONGRATS!!!! There's hope for us. Our transfer is December 13th (possibly) and I pray I'll get a BFP by Christmas. How many embryos did you transfer? I'm struggling with that question right now (I'm 41). Healthy pregnancy to you.

I only did one embryo. I felt very strongly about that as I didn't want a high risk pregnancy for me or the baby, and I want to be able to dote on just one! Supposedly, there is a 60% chance of getting pregnant with one or two embryos, but a 30-50% chance of twinning if you put in two. I would have been more likely to do 2 on a 2nd round, but so glad I only did one!

All the luck in the world for you. What a Christmas gift, to get that good news!

And holy crammoly on two sets of twins. I would go with your gut on the embryo transfer. I was ready to chicken out while I was on the table but I think they gave me a little white lie saying that only one embryo was ready. By the time they were done 5 minutes later, the other one was hatching. And honestly, I have been very anxious about some existing health conditions and keeping this baby--if I had two in there, I think I would be even more worried (which I knew once on reading up potential complications). Good things!

@peregrinefalconx Oops I meant my oldest sister has 2 set of twins. My husband wants to transfer two because he said he doesn't want to spend more money on another cycle and he wants a pregnancy the first try. We'll see after PGS and what my gut will say. So the retrieval is December 7th and transfer on December 13th. Im on Lupron now and starting on Delestrogen and Estradiol tomorrow. Surprisingly I'm more excited than nervous. I'll keep you posted and thanks a lot for your well wishes. I'm excited for your pregnancy as well

Congrats and please keep us all posted! We are choosing our donor this weekend so we hope to do a transfer some time in Jan or Feb. In the meantime, I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you all!

@peregrinefalconx & @kuposa17 Hi ladies. Thank you for your support and love as always. Here's an update. Since my lining was still thick, my dates were pushed back. Now the retrieval is next week (12/9) and transfer on 12/15. I can't believe its getting closer. As of yesterday, the nurse told me that the donor is on Menopur and Gonal F and is doing well. @kuposa good luck on choosing a donor. @peregrinefalconx how are you and the baby? Hugs to all

plumeria05 Baby is measuring right on schedule and I'm at 13.5 weeks. I gave myself a little more permission to get excited and actually told my in laws, who were beyond happy and excited. It was weird. I still feel like crap. Thinking that this may actually work.

Wouldn't it matter what your donor's situation is more than yours? Or did they just push her stuff back too? Glad it's almost time!!

That's what I thought too but the donor was on schedule but my uterus wasn't. I had my last ultrasound today and my line was nice and thick. The donor has her Ultrasound tomorrow and will determine if the trigger shot is tomorrow or Tuesday. I'm quietly excited. Aw I'm glad you and baby are good. I agree with you though on sharing your awesome news slowly. I told my husband that I would probably start telling people after the first trimester. Hugs

@peregrinefalconx @kuposa17 Our donor had 11 eggs retrieved yesterday.....9 were ICSIed and today 5 fertilized normally. I'm really nervous - I was hoping for 15 or plus eggs to better my chances. Tomorrow the nurse will call with Day 3 report and all 5 embryos will be alive and healthy past Day 5. I'm just super super nervous.

plumeria05 any news?? (I stopped coming on here bc I've been kind of addicted/made me anxious). How did it all go? I think you should know if the cycle was successful by now. FYI. My woman (who I split her eggs 3 ways) had this "very productive cycle." Like 24 eggs. Ultimately, we had three embryos out of all of that. And #1 is sticking (17 weeks now!). So it only takes 1 to count!!

hi @peregrinefalconx. i had my first BETA on the 29th and it was 354. today was the second BETA and it was 694 and i go back next week for the third. i hope it continues to grow. sounds like you're doing great. so happy for you

I said I wouldn't announce on facebook, but I did. I was pretty paranoid about people knowing my business, but I got excited Xmas morning. Pretty much everybody knows now. I just have to assume she, and she is a she, is for real. I knew she was a girl--I could just tell. I found out with the genetic testing that they do for us older ladies (at 13w), even though she's a DE from a 28 year old. I'm not revealing the sex on FB but the people I speak with regularly know--I kind of feel like it's personal and they'll find out eventually anyway.

I can even feel her little kicks multiple times a day. At least I think that's what they are. Always in the same area and feel the same. I have an appt tomorrow and even though I own a doppler, am too afraid to use it. It's been a fretful road but have tried to just be as positive as possible, given my history.

Any news for your? Positive progression? I've been thinking of you.

Hey mama. I am SUPER excited for your little girl. Aww (I'm tearing up now). I'm so happy for you because I know how challenging our journeys have been and now that we're both pregnant I'm just over the moon.

today was our third beta and it was 6,695. I feel officially pregnant lol. No MS yet so I'm counting my blessings (although I've been nervous for the lack of symptoms) or maybe it's still too early. My FIrst ultrasound is next Thursday 1/14 so I'm really excited. I cannot wait to hear that heartbeat.

My sister had a dream last night about a chubby baby boy so Im guessing that's what I'll have. I just want a healthy baby. So cute @ your baby kicking.

I know how nervous you are; I'm already thinking of million things. We didn't do PGS and I know I want to do all the tests even though our DE is 21 but you know, for our peace of mind.

you own a Doppler? Wow you're fancy

plumeria05 yeah, I bought the doppler for a single pregnant friend for when she needed that reassurance when no one was around. that didn't work for her, so I asked for it this time around, but since I can feel her kicking, I don't really think about it much anymore. You'll love that--very reassuring. I wonder if you are having twins with those betas! I guess HCG is not helpful for figuring that out but you will know soon enough. Glad you are not experiencing MS--just wait until that belly starts growing--I'm officially in maternity clothes full time now. Wow. Very excited for you.

I'm doing all the testing too. I think I just had a blood test for cystic fybrosis a couple of days ago. I figure, we've made it this far, might as well go the whole hog.

Yes, keep me posted!! Oh, and I am doing more real expecting baby stuff now. Started a registry, planning on birthing options, and I think I am going to start writing a blog on a pregnancy site! I don't know where I would even start, given how complicated my personal situation is. I just can't believe after 11 babies have been born to my friends, that not one of them is pregnant at the same time as me...sometimes we need someone to talk about this stuff with nonstop!
