How soon would you involve your child with your pregnancy? My son will be four in a couple of weeks and I would like for him to join my husband and I for our first ultrasound so that he sees the baby in mommies tummy. Would this be too soon?
I think it's fine to involve your kids whenever you're ready. Out of necessity, my oldest has been to ultrasounds for all of his siblings, and he's been well behaved. Granted, he didn't really understand what was going on. Ultrasounds are difficult for adults to read; little kids aren't going to automatically associate the blurry grey blob with a baby. But you can explain things and talk him through it.
