  How far along are you? 16 weeks
  
  How did your appointment go overall? I had a regular check-up yesterday and it went great! I had been feeling really nervous and anxious these past few weeks so hearing the hb was great. Weight & blood pressure both looked good.
  
  Any ultrasound or doppler? Doppler. Hb of 150bpm. We must have a mover on our hands since the baby kept moving away from the Doppler!
  
  Did your doctor or midwife answer any questions or concerns you had? I didn't really have questions or concerns, but I did bring up that I started feeling BH's again this pregnancy.
  
  Next up is our a/s in 3 weeks! :-)

  How did your appointment go overall? I had a monster block of appointments yesterday because I seriously can't take any more time off work so I just spent the entire day at the hospital. I met with the genetic counselor at 8am, then the MFM specialist at 8:30am, then anatomy scan until about 10 (baby was dancing up a storm and it was hard to get a good view of the heart), then blood work at the lab, then appointment with my OB with doppler to hear the baby's heart beat, then more blood work and urine sample. Overall, everything went great, but it was a little exciting and disconcerting to hear the MFM specialist say that she has never seen a woman who had such severe pre-e and HELLP have not only a perfectly healthy child, but be in such amazing health with a second pregnancy. I have lost another 10 lbs since my last appointment and my BP was 100/60!!! And the pre-e blood screen and 24hr urine all came back showing no baseline kidney or liver damage. She actually used the word "miracle" to describe how my son and I squeaked by without any lasting effects from the pretty horrific pregnancy and delivery.

  Did your doctor or midwife answer any questions or concerns you had? Was there anything you wanted to bring up but forgot? I wanted to talk about the plan for a RCS, but know that I have plenty of time. While I spent quite a while chatting with the MFM specialist, my OB barely spent 5 min with me. It has just been rattling around in my head since my good friend (who just gave birth 2 weeks ago via RCS) was gushing about her amazing RCS (she also had an emergency CS due to pre-e the first time) and the fact that she was able to BF and cuddle her baby while they closed her up.   @laurenmdrn16 SO happy to hear about your health this pregnancy! Congrats! And congrats on a healthy baby, too!! What great news all around. I'm going to be that annoying person and pry.... did you find out if you're having a boy or a girl?

  @ladysamlady my younger sister begged me to let her do a reveal at Christmas after she found out that my older sister found out my son was a boy before her (she is really good at reading US and came with me to one of the later ones). So, I had the tech write down the sex and put it in a sealed envelope that I will give to my sister when she comes to babysit my son on Thursday. It was TORTURE to drive home with the envelope, especially since it was not only sealed, but wrapped in post-its, stapled and had a note saying "No peeking until Christmas!" with a smiley face on it! But while the tech was doing the anatomy scan she was narrating everything and then quickly swung the screen away and said "Well, I guess Baby isn't very camera shy!   @laurenmdrn16 I'm glad your appointments went well. We are doing the same thing for our a/s. It's on the 21st and we are opening the envelope on Christmas morning! It's going to be so hard to wait, but it'll be a cute surprise!

  How did your appointment go overall? Great! She said she has to double check my meds but since my colitis flare up is on the mend she doesn't think it will be necessary for me to see a fetal maternal specialist. Big relief there. My weight gain was a little more than it should be but she said she isn't concerned, any weight I gain before 20 weeks goes to me -she said she's more of a stickler after 20 weeks when it starts going to the baby. So woohoooo give me all the cheeseburgers for another week. Can't believe my next appt is for my anatomy scan on the 15th, time is flying!!
  
  Any ultrasound or doppler? Doppler! We heard baby girl's strong heartbeat and lots of movement! Music to my ears.
  
  Did your doctor or midwife answer any questions or concerns you had? Was there anything you wanted to bring up but forgot? We covered everything, I really love my OB!

  She answered a lot but I forgot to ask about seeing a chiropractor and if she had any recommendations for exercises until I can see one.
  
  Set my appt for my a/s won't be until the 5th of January but I'm ok with waiting! My father keeps saying im having twins but I don't know if I could handle that! I already have two dogs that act like toddlers and an outside cat who trips me adding two instead of one would be a big feet to tackle! Props to those having twins or who already have them!
