Echoing on Doppler?

Anyone ever heard an echoing of the baby's hb on your Doppler? I was using mine today and heard what sounded like two heartbeats. I know it wasn't my heartbeat. Mine is obviously much slower. I know there's only one baby. That's all that showed up in my 6&7 week ultrasounds. If there were two babies they would've seen that then, right?

    Could it have been the placenta? I've heard some women mistake that for a heart beat.

    Maybe. I wondered about that. Or maybe the cord or something. I'll be 11 weeks tomorrow so it makes sense that it could have been the placenta and I didn't ever catch it until now.

    I agree, both the cord and the placenta pulse, I believe along the same rate as baby, but I'm not sure.
