Home sick/Cramps question

I've been having pretty persistent cramps all day yesterday and last night/this morning. I'm on my feet most of the day so today I'm taking a break. But, I'm trying also to figure out what's going on and Dr. Google has not been much help. No bleeding, I don't think it's Braxton hicks, feels different from round ligament pain. It feels like menstrual cramps for the most part. I have an appointment today at 4. Does anyone have experience with this? It's my second pregnancy and I didn't have anything like this last time. I'll be 15 weeks tomorrow.

  • Call your doctor if you're concerned.

  • I had that with my first pregnancy. More than likely you just over did it yesterday and are dehydrated. That's what it always was for me. Take it easy and drink water until your appointment. Your doctor should be able to tell you more when you see them later. Hopefully that is all it is! :)

  • How did your appointment go?

I've had cramping like that twice this pregnancy, and yeah it was always when I had overdone it and not had enough water. It's easy to do too much when you're pregnant, makes me nuts to feel fragile.
  • That's basically what they said! We heard the heartbeat so all is well. They also said that since it's my second things are growing faster which can also cause more pain. I'll try to sit down more but as a teacher it's difficult. And early to feel like I can't be moving around! Also the drinking water thing gets complicated because I can't go to the bathroom whenever I want. Hopefully they start to calm down.
  • Did you have a c-section last time?  When I went in to see my OB with a similar complaint, she said it might be the scar tissue stretching.   Hope you feel better!

  • Would it be possible to have an aid? That way you can increase your water intake and leave to the bathroom when you need to, while being assured someone is there to prevent anarchy.
  • Can you make friends with the teacher next door? First pregnancy when I was still working, I used to ask the teacher next door to watch my kids for the 3 minutes it took me to run to the bathroom. She'd just step out in the hallway and keep an eye on them. Or a passing aid if I happened to catch one walking by. I also did a lot of teaching sitting down. It is possible. :)

  • I did have a c-section! They didn't mention that but I find it interesting! It was really bothering me today too and I sat a lot. It's going to get old fast!

I could maybe get an aid with a doctor's note. I am close to the bathroom so I can run in between classes but I can't always catch security to watch the class. If it doesn't ease up I'll have to look into some options.
