Anyone plan to use a postpartum wrap, girdle?

I would like to get a postpartum belly wrap. Ive been reading a lot of reviews. The most popular i found are the bamboo belly bandit and the bellafit girdle. Wonder if anyone here used one of those before or heard any good comments about it

Re: Anyone plan to use a postpartum wrap, girdle?

  • I wore one after my c section. It was amazing. It was one the hospital provided though so I'm not sure of the brand. Definitely ask if they provide them. ;)

  • I bought a belly bandit. I'm so excited for it. Compression works wonders for recovery and comfort. At least it did post tummy tuck and the OB said it's great after a c section.
  • I've done a fair bit of research on this and it really depends what you want. The belly bandit I believe is a bit thicker, very soft and comfy, but you will see it through your clothing (unless you are wearing baggy tops all the time). I ordered the bellefit because I wanted to have the highest medical grade compression to hopefully bring everything back quicker and heal my diastasis recti. It's obviously not going to be as comfortable since it's a legit girdle but it is much slimmer and you can wear it under most clothing without seeing it.
  • I bought a belly bandit also. I plan to use it whether I end up having a C/S or not. I'll prob wear it around the house only though and not while I'm out and about.
  • I bought the Bellefit today and they are having a $30off discount with code "Cyber30". I'm excited as this one appears to have the most compression of all the products on the market.
  • Are these good for vaginal births or just c sections?
  • They are good for vaginal birth as well. They help the uterus shrink back quicker and give you core/back support.
  • My hospital provided one after my DD. I would check with them before you buy one. I loved mine!
  • I also ordered a bellefit. Anxious to put it to use!
  • I have one from my cesarean. I absolutely love it, I don't have a previous birth to compare but I feel it has helped recovery tremendously. The extra support is nice not only for the incision, but for the extra wiggle room of my belly. It keeps it from moving around a lot which was great when my muscles were still sore from the contractions and all the hands pushing on my stomach before they decided on a cesarean. It helped shrink my uterus back and aided in bleeding for me.
  • Now I wish I got a bellifit!!!
  • I ordered a Belledit and got a great deal on it... can't wait to try it out :)
  • I bought one on Amazon that got good reviews.  It's called a HOVEOX Postpartum Recovery Belt.  I'm still pregnant and obviously can't try it on yet, but I liked how this one has a customizable "pull" to the velcro. That way I can tighten and loosen it as needed. Take a look: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZFE9VQU?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s04
  • My doctor said it would offer support for my back and abs after delivery, as well as help with swelling. I ordered the bellefit girdle that buttons up the front. It came yesterday and looks like it's made well. Very small, but seems stretchy enough! I opted for the girdle because it's made for both c sections and natural deliveries. We're hoping to have a vaginal delivery, but wanted to be safe just in case that doesn't happen!
  • I ordered the Bellefit and the compression tank...
  • I ordered one from Amazon for $12 just to try it out before I spent a good $80 and I had my baby on Monday started wearing it that night. It has helped tremendously! My back feels great and it seems to help with the after pains for me. I'm glad I didn't spend a whole lot of money on it!!

I had my baby 2 weeks ago and have been wearing this one since we got home from the hospital. It has definitely helped shrink my uterus. The core and back support is amazing. I actually long to put it on in the morning.

  • Many hospitals will provide a compression garment if you ask, so consider checking that out if you're on a budget.
  • Thank you all for your input. Im going to wait until delivery because im not really sure about my size and if its too small i want to return it
  • Now that most of us have had our babies how is everyone liking their belle fits?

I just got mine today (I got the corset one) and it is SO uncomfortable, which surprises me since most of the reviews talk about how comfortable it is...maybe it takes adjusting or I just need to get smaller? But the thigh holes are uncomfortably squeezing my inner thighs, it's riding up giving me a constant crotch wedgie and the top is squeezing into my ribs and forming a huge noticeable fat roll which looks super unappealing so I'm not sure how much I'll want to wear it out of the house.
I do have a longer than average torso so I'm wondering if it just doesn't fit me right because it definitely isn't as high on me as it is on the girls inthe photos on the website. Don't know how I will wear this 24/7, I took a nap earlier and woke up in quite a bit of pain so there's no way I'm wearing it to bed tonight.
  • I ordered the bellefit corset after my csection as well and tried it on for less than 10 minutes before deciding I couldn't and wouldn't put myself thru that. Soooooo uncomfortable. I was super disappointed because I also read all the reviews on Amazon... Also had the huge back fat roll and couldn't even reach to get the crotch closed (and couldn't imagine trying to use a peri bottle in the middle of the night since I had my underwear on underneat the girdle to accommodate the large pad). Just a bad idea.

I had spanx from pre-pregnancy and I have worn those a few times. Much more comfortable but also feels like they're doing their job.
  • I was just looking into this today! Well more like a waist trainer. I want something I can wear under my clothes. Im 4 weeks PP after c section and feel like my lower stomach muscles are shot. Any recommendations?
  • I'm using the postpartum fit splint I used the pregnancy one too. Its basically a naoprene band. I wear it when I'm walking around during the day, it is stretchy and flexible, I think to some extent it reminds me to engage my an muscles again.
