Why are people so annoying

So My husband and I decided to be team green. but when we tell people that they automatically say its because I cant handle hearing that its a girl again or they will say oh your husband must not be a real man because he only makes girls...I feel that rude as hell and I hate when people talk about my family I get pretty protective and it has only got worse since getting pregnant..

we have no clue the sex and don't plan on it I just like the ideal of the surprise.  and yes people know I have always wanted a boy and we do already have a girl but all I want is a healthy baby

  • Whoever actually has the nerve to say that to you should check themselves. If anyone said that to me or DH, I would have the biggest meltdown anyone has ever seen.

    Possible comebacks:
    - If it's not your egg or your sperm, you don't get an opinion.
    - Get a life.
    - You suck as a human if you have the guts to say this to my face.
  • What??? Who actually says something like that? I've never heard anyone say anything like that and I know Many couples that have all girls
  • That's just bs. People seriously suck. They're the reason I won't tell anyone about this baby. Because I'll just get crap like that.  I'm team green (because baby won't cooperate), but have been before, so no one will question me on that.  It'll just be, "Why are you having another baby." Ummm…because it pisses you off and I like it when I piss you off.
  • Anyone who said that to me would get an immediate and sincere punch in the throat.
  • Wow. I can't believe the nerve of some people- to suggest your husband is less of a man because he only makes girls is way out of line. Masculinity isn't based on what comes out of your balls, and it is way more manly to love your child for reasons other than their sex.

I don't like being rude to people for silly stuff, but I think in that situation a sarcastic or snippy comeback is totally fine. Of course, then they will probably just accuse you of being hormonal (just can't win with some people!). But I think it would be completely okay to call them out on their rudeness.

Sorry you are dealing with this :(
  • People are douches and so clueless sometimes!

Some "friends" asked me if DH was "sooo bummed" we're having a girl b/c he told them he "wanted a boy so badly". First of all, DH has never said that. If anything I was more open about wanting a boy. The one thing DH said was "Sure, a boy would be nice because we have Carlee, but healthy is what matters." He was thrilled when we found out it was another girl.
