Grateful for symptoms!

Made the mistake of eating Korean BBQ for dinner. My stomach is trying to rebel and I'm just laying here grinning like a loon. This baby must be strong cuz he or she is really kicking my butt with this nausea, way more than last time! Anyone else feeling happy with their annoying symptoms? :)

Re: Grateful for symptoms!

  • Baby punished me by making me throw up when I got out of bed. Went back to bed and felt better. Baby enjoys sleep. Lol

  • Trying. I try to be thankful for symptoms. My last pregnancy had very few symptoms (unusual for me) and ended in m/c, so yes, I'm thankful that my symptoms remind me that this baby is healthy and hanging on.

But goodness, I'm reminded too often. I wish I wasn't SO symptomatic. I've been sick all day, every day for 4.5 weeks now. I can't breathe through my nose at night. My gums are bleeding. Heartburn started already. I'm breaking out like a teenager. I'm exhausted, but I can't sleep. My boobs are killing me. I can't poop. I'm bloated. I have crazy dreams. I feel shaky and out of breath often.

I'm really, really looking forward to not feeling like this every day. I can't smile through this forever!
  • At the moment, I will be totally grateful for my M/S to arrive, but I'm sure once that first time comes and I pee my pants, I will be wishing it away. Side note: I'm nervous to see how my LO will react to me getting sick.
  • Nope I am not grateful for my symptoms. They make it hard for me to take care of my 17 month old.
  • I am thankful everyday I am pregnant. I don't want to take any of it for granted, DH and I tried so hard to get here after all. I would be just as thankful if I had a lot of symptoms, it would be reassuring for me, even though it would be difficult I am sure. I guess you can count me "lucky" though for right now. Regardless if you do have ms or any other symptom, remember it will all be worth it and thousands of others would love to take your place.
