I searched and didn't find this posted yet. If it was, and my phone failed me...apologies.

I happened upon this in my birthclub during my second pregnancy and thought it was pretty well said. Of course, everyone's experience is different...but this kinda summed it up for me.

Thought it might be a fun read if you haven't seen it yet, especially around the time we will all be figuring the PP plans out... =)

*might be tmi to some*

Re: Lemon Clot Essay..

  • Love it
Ps I had the lemon clots..... Not fun and no one warned me about them so I was super freaked out
  • Loading the player...
  • Right?! It can be intense... nobody warned me either...

I had too many people over the first time..it was awkward. and uncomfortable...i had terrible hemorrhoids and all i wanted to do was lie down on my side and take the pressure off them and my angry lady bits but there wasn't room with all the guests...

The second time i kept things more private... and it was much nicer. Lol

I finally just read this. It brought back a memory that I'd forgotten of my SIL coming out of my bathroom saying - I don't mean to be rude, but I saw in your trash you're already using the normal size pads!?! That's crazy! I was totally still using the giant hospital ones at this point. Ummmmmmm. (ETA: I bled for six weeks with both kids, lest anyone be jealous. I never personally had super huge clots, though.)

  • Totally true. I tell all the soon-to-be FTMs i know about the bleeding, and advised a friend to set limits on guests. Guests should expect to work when they come to ur house to stay after baby. They should not make a mess that they dont clean up. And u are never onligated to entertain or cook for them or anything other than take care of urself and you baby. Thats it.

    Isabella & Julian & and now #3!

I went 6 full weeks too and at the end had a giant clot that freaked me out. On the plus side I didn't have a period for a year after due to nursing!
