Betty as a nickname for Beatrice?

Does this work, even a little? Naming her Beatrice, calling her Beatrice mostly but if a nickname comes in, using Betty.

I love Betty. I love Beatrice. While I love Elizabeth, the middle name set in stone is a bland combo with Elizabeth and I'd like to honor my grandma whose given name was Bettyanne but went by Betty.
