    How are you feeling?
Ugh, I've got an awful stomach ache today. I can't tell if it's a legit stomach ache or if it's baby related...but it sucks. And I'm so tired. I really miss being able to sleep like a normal person.

    Rants/Raves?
My new car is amazing. And I believe I found a new family doctor...things have been falling into place this past week. It's such a relief.

GTKY: What was your favorite thing to do as a kid?
This is tough. Some of my favourite memories are of spending time with my Grandpa, going for walks by the river & catching fish, tadpoles, & other things. I miss him! I also loved being able to play outside all the time, biking to/from friends houses & just being active. Life was so fun & simple!

  • How far along are you?

    -12 weeks 6 days.

    How are you feeling?

-Considerably better.  My doctor prescribed an antibotic for my infections and the pain has receded a bit.

    Rants/Raves?

-I'm hungry but the idea of eating anything is also repulsive right now.  Can't win.

GTKY: What was your favorite thing to do as a kid?

-Around this time?  Play in the snow.  :)  Now I wonder how I did it without freezing my butt off.
  • @DeePaaddy24 - It's the best when everything finally works out.  Glad things are coming together for you!

@MKEMommy - The hungry/hate food feeling is the worst!  Especially when the hunger leads to being nauseous when you don't eat something soon enough.  Hope you feel better soon!
    How far along are you?
    10w3d

How are you feeling? Awful.  I spend the first couple hours of my day waiting for my medicine to kick in and relieve the flu symptoms, then I spend the rest of the day trying to balance eating and drinking to not make myself nauseous.  Try to go to bed early, wake-up, repeat...

Rants/Raves? Rave: I'm working from one of our plant locations today (an hour away), but I carpooled with DH (we work for the same company), so I get to nap on the way to and from work!  Rant: I have to work....

GTKY: What was your favorite thing to do as a kid?  Just being outside was the best!  Playing in the creek with friends, running around our yard with my siblings, building snow-forts in the winter... I honestly have very few childhood memories that take place indoors.

How are you feeling? Terrible.  I think I need to stop taking diclectin.  Since starting on Friday, I just feel like a depressed zombie.  I'm so scared of losing this pregnancy- and was fairly calm and confident before Friday. Now I just feel tired, I have a back ache, and my greatly-reduced nausea (which is what I was aiming for with the diclectin) is just making me paranoid. My breasts still feel pregnant, at least.

Rants/Raves? All I've done since Friday is rant!  I keep crying and moaning.  I can't seem to think rationally.  Sorry- this is not a very chipper post but I need to vent a bit.

GTKY: What was your favorite thing to do as a kid? Write stories, draw, generally be creative...
  • @DeePaddy24 Uggh, I hate stomach aches. I hope you feel better. Happy to hear that everything seems to be falling into place though! That's great!

    @mkemommy Glad you're feeling better!

How far along are you? 12+3

How are you feeling? Overall pretty good. Still pretty tired, sore boobs, RLP, random shooting pains through my vagina. Some super fun stuff happening lately :)

Rants/Raves? I have 30 days left at my job before we all get laid off. I have so many leads for a new job, but nobody is hiring right now since it's the end of the year. It's frustrating and I'm just trying not to stress too much about it. I am starting to worry about the possibility of looking visibly pregnant by the time I actually get any interviews, and the liklihood that any new company I work for I will not qualify for FMLA since I will have been there less than 12 months by the time baby comes. I am just hoping a new opportunity comes up soon.

GTKY: What was your favorite thing to do as a kid? Play outside. Anything and everything outside. Like DeePaddy said, life was so simple back then and I loved that. My sister and I were always wandering around with the neighbors exploring, getting dirty, swimming and just being kids. It was awesome.
  • @mrsschmity - I'm sorry about your job situation.  I can't even imagine how stressful that would be right now.  Hugs.

@kballew10 - I'm sorry you are feeling crappy too.  Any sickness...flu, infections, etc.....suck about 10 times worse when pregnant.

@SMLmom - sorry to hear you're feeling so crappy. Did the diclectin come with a warning that it may have side effects like you're experiencing? Does it help your MS at all?

How far along are you? 11w5d

How are you feeling? Huge and like there are little minions in my stomach burning it with acid and punching it with their tiny hands.

Rants/Raves? My husband is taking our son to an NHL game tonight which means after I put DD to bed at 7:30 I get the WHOLE house to myself. I can legitimately Netflix and chill. I only wish I had a big ol' glass of wine...

GTKY: What was your favorite thing to do as a kid? Play street hockey and softball. Sigh. Those were the days.....

  • @Kballew10 I am so jealous that you get to nap on the way to/from work!

@SMLmom Vent away lady. I'm sorry you're feeling so miserable :/ Hopefully you get out of this funk soon. Be nice to yourself!

  • Thanks courtjack and mrsschmity.  Courtjack, yes, either it's just good timing since I'm over 10 weeks or the diclectin really did help.  I don't remember it having this much of an effect on anything the other times I was on it.  That's why I'm still freaked out about the ease in symptoms.
I did google diclectin and depression this morning, for whatever it's worth and it turns out that anxiety and irritability are noted side-effects.  I've taken it 3 other times and just remember it kind of helping my nausea and making me a bit groggy in the morning.  Nothing like this monsoon of badness.
I'm going to stop taking it.  I'd rather just feel nauseated than like I'm about to burst into tears all. the. time.
Side note- I've had a dull back ache pretty much since I sat down at work... bit of it last night too.  This is completely within the realm of normal, right?
  • How far along are you? 9w6d

How are you feeling? Better today than yesterday. I got sick in the shower and just before dinner yesterday, so I'm hoping my body will tone it the hell down today. Full disclosure though, I did what I knew I shouldn't and let my stomach get empty too often.

    Rants/Raves?
Rave: Bought a new car yesterday! DH and I were hemming and hawing about when to buy a larger, safer car for me for bebe. Found a great deal on a car that will work well, and lo and behold....got it. Merry Christmas and happy birthday to me, lol.
(Shout out, @NicknShan: Joined the Subaru Outback club! Awesome car.)

Rant: Insomnia has taken up a schedule. I wake up to pee about 3 am, then inevitably get hungry, grab a snack, fall back asleep about 5. Hmph.

GTKY: What was your favorite thing to do as a kid? My sister and I would play outside for hours--building forts, getting dirty, exploring, climbing trees, and riding our bikes/Big Wheels (remember those?). Like PPs said, life was simple, and I loved it.
  • @crdo Outbacks are nice cars.  Congrats!!  I am also glad you're feeling better today than yesterday.  :)

    Insomnia rules my nights too...

  • @DeePaddy24: I'm sorry you're not feeling well, but I'm glad things are falling into place for you!

@mkemommy: Glad you got some meds to help you recover!

@Kballew10: I'm sorry you're not feeling well, but yay for naps!

@SMLmom: Vent away. Is what you're feeling perhaps a side effect of your meds? Hugs.

@mrsschmity: I can only imagine how stressful yo ur job search situation must be. That's great you have so many leads, and I hope a good opportunity works out for you soon.

    Thank you!

Insomnia is a real PITA, isn't it?
  • Thanks @crdo. Part of me is tempted to just find a part time job until after baby arrives if nothing comes up in time. We'll see what happens. Yay for the new car! What an awesome Christmas present for yourself ;)

  • I hope you all start feeling better soon. It definitely seems harder being PG during the winter. We're all getting sick or have been sick!

@mkemommy: Glad you were able to get some meds and are feeling better!

@mrsschmity: Sorry about the job situation! FX you find something soon!!

@crdo: Yay for new a car! Sounds like I'm going to have to check out Subaru. DH and I are going to start looking within the next month or two.

How are you feeling? Hungry all the time but then throw a little nausea in there. Super tired today. I had the STRANGEST, most vivid dream last night. I don't even want to talk about it. Woke up and peed and had a hard time getting back to sleep. Every night, my dreams are so detailed and vivid. I think that's a pregnancy thing though. Aside from that, just really bloated or starting to see a bump. Started where my belly band today but I'm still looking round in the tummy and that just started the last few days.

Rants/Raves? Rant: It's only Tuesday. Also, I was eating a bag of chips I packed for lunch while reading TB and then looked down and all my chips were gone. So sad :( Rave: Taco Tuesday!

GTKY: What was your favorite thing to do as a kid? I was on my bike outside playing with friends until it was time to come in for dinner/it got dark. I can't remember doing much else. It was all about being outside with friends as much as possible. It was so fun and easy back then. We weren't worried about anything bad happening like we are today (as a society).

How far along are you? 11w3d

How are you feeling? Fine. Though my bedtime is considerably earlier than it used to be.

Rants/Raves? I've been doing a reading challenge for 2015 and I only have 4 books left to complete it! I wasted a bunch of time reading random books that didn't actually count for a category, so I'm excited that I'm going to be able to easily finish.
On the other hand, DD ate too fast and started playing too hard. Needless to say, I'm headed out to hose off the driveway. Magical!

GTKY: What was your favorite thing to do as a kid? I loved to play outside! We had a few acres and a pond at home and my (ex) step dad's family owned a huge dairy farm. Building forts, catching frogs/turtles, horseback riding, etc. It was awesome!

How are you feeling? Ehhh, lots of sick kids today which is making my nighttime sickness turn into morning sickness.

Rants/Raves? Stroller arrives today! Rants- my co worker is totally useless and the only nurse in my office I like leaves Dec 18 and her replacement doesn't start until Feb 1. I may actually have a mental breakdown.

GTKY: What was your favorite thing to do as a kid? Play with dolls! I have always been obsessed with babies:)

    How far along are you?
    10w4d

    How are you feeling?
No change, still nauseous, occasional RLP.  I thought pregnancy was supposed to be such a magical time.  I'm calling BS because so far it isn't.

    Rants/Raves?
Rave - Had my 2nd appointment today and got to hear the heartbeat for a few seconds, solid at 160 bpm which is really exciting!  Silly fetus kept running away from the doppler...
Rant - Got bloodwork done and almost passed out (again).  Had to have the phlebotomist recline the bed all the way to lay down after so I wouldn't.  I apologized about 50 times but she promised it was okay, must be part of her job description...

GTKY: What was your favorite thing to do as a kid?
Going to my grandpop's house.  He had a garden in the back and would let us help him pick things from it which was so much fun. He also loved building and flying model airplanes and built HAM radios which was fun to watch.  Lots of different things that we wouldn't have been exposed to otherwise.
  • Also...QUESTION!

I don't know how else to explain this other than it feels like my vagina is "vibrating" or humming. Anyone else having this? I'm assuming it's due to the increased blood flow going on, but I'll just be sitting here and it feels like I'm riding a washing machine.

    Just me?

YES!!!! Me too I thought I was crazy.  It is more like phantom phone vibrations to me but it's really weird.  I've read it is usually due to increased blood flow or a twitching nerve, but that it is totally normal.

@BakerBird525: Not to be a Subaru spokeswoman or anything, but if you're interested, I'd say it's worth a look. The outback had excellent safety ratings, good price, plenty of interior room, nice entertainment/safety communication features, and handles like a freaking dream.

    Good luck car shopping!

ETA: I've been having crazy, sometimes nightmare-ish dreams lately, too. WTF, brain? We are growing humans and need sleep.

How are you feeling? My blump was so out of control this last week I've been having stretching/growing pains there more than where my uterus is like before.

Rants/Raves? Had a good week off with family, but waking up at 5:30 for work today hurt.

How are you feeling? Was pretty dicey until 5 minutes ago when I ate a sandwich. Feeling better now. Having a lot of lower back pain and RLP though.

Rants/Raves? Shout out to grilled cheese sandwiches for being the only food I can find any love for before about 5pm every day. What would I ever do without you?

How are you feeling?  I feel like crap today.  Im freezing cold and my stomach feels yucky.  I can't tell if it is the start of a bug or pregnancy related

Rants/Raves? I wish Chick Fil A was closer!  Its all I want to eat and the closest one is 20 minutes away.  Maybe I will get some on my way home from work :)

How are you feeling?  Sooo exhausted... I'm not sure if it's all because of the pregnancy or if it's mostly from getting over being sick.  Can't figure out anything to eat and I'm starving.  Everything seems yucky.

    Rants/Raves?  Naah... Nothing really.

This made me LOL.  Mine is humming but it is still doing so from the UTI...so sort of an unpleasant humming right now....still better than "Holy Hell My Lady Parts Are On Fire" though.  ;)
  • How far along are you? 9w 6d

How are you feeling?  Eh pretty normal I suppose. Tired, cranky, and my sore breasts are coming back so that makes me happy - I really have no other symptoms so when my boobs hurt I'm feelin' good.

Rants/Raves? I'm struggling to finish this treatment plan. So many goals and objectives. I just want to cuddle up and sleep.
AND 1 week away from my first u/s finally. Ah I'm so excited to finally make sure everything is okay.

GTKY: What was your favorite thing to do as a kid? I grew up a couple houses away from my best friend. Literally 3 houses away. We'd spend 24/7 together. Her family is mine, and mine is hers. We'd have sleepovers every weekend and order pizza. Thin crust with pepperoni and bacon. Her dad called it a "bad-ass combination." Now I live 12 hours away. Ugh I miss everyone.
  • How far along are you? 10+6

How are you feeling? MS isn't as bad as it was before but I am just so tired. I can't sleep at night and then all I think about all day is sleep. Also I am really achy most of the time with lower back and hip pain.

Rants/Raves? Rant...so tired and I can't focus and get anything done. Rave, getting closer to time to be able to tell everyone (we have already told close family and a couple friends). We went ahead and got the Verifi and carrier blood tests and should hear back this week. The wait is killing me but if everything looks good then we will make it public around 12 weeks. Also we will find out the sex of the baby so that will be really fun. We are thinking of sharing the news with our families on Christmas.

GTKY: What was your favorite thing to do as a kid? Our house growing up backed up to a protected forest and wetland so my brother, neighboord kids and I spent all of our time out there. We would run, build forts, catch frogs and crawdads, it was awesome.
  • How far along are you? 11w4d

How are you feeling? Tired. Headaches. Still enjoying my morning puke every day for the last week or so. I'm lucky that just started I guess, but I do hope it goes away quickly.

Rants/Raves? H and I moved in with my dad after my parents split up last year to save money since he was all alone in a 4 bedroom house. It helped my dad out too because we are paying him "rent" and that helps supplement his income since he's supporting two houses (his own plus alimony and child support to my mom). It's been nice because we were able to pay for our wedding entirely in cash and buy a new car and start saving to move out of state.

Anyway, him and my mom do this thing where they get along for a month or so at a time and during that time he becomes unbearable. He literally went off on us yesterday because we had the heater on at 71 degrees. So, needless to say, we're probably going to start looking for a place soon. Not looking forward to packing and moving on top of feeling like I'm dying.

GTKY: What was your favorite thing to do as a kid?

I really just liked to be outside -- swimming, riding my bike, etc. We lived in a cul-de-sac growing up, so we also were able to play football and baseball in the street without having to worry about cars which was awesome. When I was stuck inside, I read a lot.
  • How far along are you?

    How are you feeling?
My two day migraine has finally subsided so it feels great to be back amongst the living! But I have been non stop hungry all day, probably making up for the past two days.

    Rants/Raves?
I left a message for my doctor yesterday when I could hardly stand the pain of my migraine (I also read that if a headache is severe and lasts for more than several hours to call - this was day 2 of headache). Tylenol was doing nothing and I was worried something was wrong. Well...they never called me back. Still nothing today. It makes me want to switch doctors because what if it was, or if in the future is, something urgent? If still nothing by tomorrow I'm going to call again and will probably let the lazy PA know exactly what I think (in nice words) and ask the doctor at my next appt what their turnaround time policy is regarding phone calls.

GTKY: What was your favorite thing to do as a kid?
Anything outside! I grew up in the PNW so lots of tree climbing, forest exploring, building forts, and riding bikes.

How are you feeling? Better. Haven't puked/been insanely nauseous since Thursday/Friday. Symptoms in general seem to be relaxing a bit but I'm almost positive experienced my first moment of RLP last night.

Rants/Raves? My nipples are SO ITCHY. I really need to be on top of lotioning up now.

GTKY: What was your favorite thing to do as a kid?  Perform (sing, dance, act). Did a lot of musical theater.
