Anyone who already has a LO using this contraption for cloth diapers? I've read that it can be done, but my friend who cloth diapers advised against it. Does anyone else have any advice or opinions? Much appreciated.
I am planning to cloth diaper. From what I've read it seems more people recommend using something with an open top so that the diapers air out more. I know that sounds like it would be super smelly, but my sister does it and she says compared to disposables, cloth barely smells. I think I will probably get a regular trash can with a lid and try it with and without the lid on to see what works better.
We just use a tall garbage pail with a foot pedal (although we don't actually use the foot pedal), lined with a large wet bag for our cloth diapers. Works great! Only smells when you lift the lid and it's really time to do laundry, otherwise no odors. I wouldn't spend more money on anything extravagant.
LOVE this diaper pail. I used it for both cloth and disposable. I have zero complaints. It did not smell at all and I loved that I did not need special bags for it.

I was hoping to use a Simple Human can too because my kitchen one works so well. This one keeps the diaper smells contained then?
Yup! But if it's been a couple days since I've washed diapers, it gets really stinky for a minute when I open it to throw a diaper in.... but when it's closed it keeps the smells inside.

I'm planning on using the wet bag hanging on the doorknob like @amaniupendo suggested.
