Hi everyone,
I am starting my first IVF cycle and at my ultrasound this morning they could not see my left ovary with the internal probe because it was so high. Doctor says if it doesn't come down there is a chance that he may not be able to access it during retrieval to get follicles. Has this happened to anyone? Any strategies to get it to move? The ultrasound tech said to eat more fiber. I'm so nervous it won't be ok.
Re: High Ovary?
Mine got 'lost' a few times at the beginning of starting IVF, and it has been a pain to find it. (and some checks they just gave up)
But on the day of retrieval my right ovary was there where he should be.
All I know it's quite common, they move around. I sometimes had to push on my stomac to get the right one to show, and other time he was just like 'I'm here!'
Just wait and see for the next US, he might just be there where he should!
Best of luck x
