Numbness in hips??

Hey eveeyone! This is my very first post. I am only 10 weeks, 2 days and since I was about 8 weeks, if I lay on my right aide, my left hip just goes numb. It's super strange. I can touch my hip, and I literally cannot feel my touch on my hip like something is wrong with the nerves.
Does anyone else experience any kind of numbing sensation in their hips or maybe anywhere else? I could maybe understand if I were 8 months! Lol! But I'm only 10 weeks+2.
Thanks in advance!

I experienced that also, I was probably around 7-10 weeks. It was really bizarre! My skin on my left side/hip felt numb but it's gone away now. I'm not quite sure what it was but I'm glad it went away haha :)

  • I had this on and off my first pregnancy. Sometimes I would get a sharp pain, but more often numbness or tingling. I saw a chiropractor about it and that helped a bit. I think it's a fairly tame case of sciatica.
  • Ahhh this is happening to me!!! But it's if I lay on my back my right outer thigh goes numb... It will literally wake me up which is when I'll roll to a side! I did get an ultra sound today and they asked if I had back pain since the baby is far back. No back pain but maybe baby is sitting on a nerve?
  • I have it too...my doctor said it's very normal, but it's not the sciatic nerve, it's a different one...can't remember the name. I find sleeping on the opposite side helps...most of the time. Mine happens when,i stand too long also...which sucks at work, but all I can do is shift my weight and that helps a bit.
  • Yup-I had this before, but not until I got bigger. Maybe if you try putting a pillow between your knees, it'll help?

  • Yes! You are not alone! I am a FTM, 16w 4 d, and have been dealing with this for the last 2-3 weeks. Its so annoying. Mine is actually both hips, once I turn on the other side, I'm only good for about an hour or so until I have to flip again because my hip went numb. Its really disruptive to my sleep. Hoping it goes away soon. I haven't yet tried the pillow between my knees, maybe that will help. Good luck to you as well!
  • I had the same thing with my first, and I can tell I'm going to have the same issue this time. It's so painful and annoying! Try putting a pillow between your knees.
