Ladies, I've been suffering win a terrible cold since Thanksgiving day. I've been taking benedryl for congestion and Tylonol. I emailed my Dr. she just got back to me and said I can take a "short course" of sudafed. I go to the pharmacy and the pharmacist said sudafed is a class "c" drug and not recommended for pregnant women. What on earth should I do? I have to fly on Tuesday morning and I'm so darn uncomfortable... TIA
Re: Very bad cold, help!
Here is a list of safe medications during pregnancy.

The sudafed debate has a lack of testing in pregnancy. No medication is best route but sometimes we need to fix our health to ensure our baby's health.
If you're still concerned, consult a different OB.
ETA: get well soon
I guess if it were me and I was miserable all day every day, I would do what my OB said. Just because you are pregnancy doesn't mean you should suffer in silence and hate life. You still have to take care of yourself mama.
In the end I think it's more about what you're comfortable with. I literally cannot sleep or function without a decongestant for the past 3 months. I think my baby would suffer more if I were to stress myself by "toughing it out".
