Stamford hospital vs Greenwich

Hi moms !!! I'm really really new to this site. I am currently only 6 weeks along. My obgyn does not do deliveries anymore so I need to look for a new dr. I have had several recommendations. Some who primarily deliver is Stamford and some in Greenwich. I have been getting a ton of warnings from other moms and moms to be saying stay clear of Greenwich for anything maternity. Has anyone else also heard this? And maybe can shed some light as to why so many feel this way? My husband and I had to do (icsy), a form of invitro so I am still currently under the care of the fertility clinics physician so I need to come to a decision soon.

    I delivered my first and will deliver my second at Stamford and had a wonderful experience. I've also heard good things about Greenwich from friends who delivered there. I've been told that Stamford has the better NICU. Maybe you can dig up some hospital ratings in regards to maternity and obstetrics care? Otherwise, I'd go with the Obgyn I was most comfortable with go where they deliver. If you're near Stamford, I highly recommend Coastal OBGYN. All four doctors are wonderful and funny (they will tease you and joke around but also have excellent bedside manner and work to make you feel comfortable and supported).

    Thank you soooo much ! I will definitely do some research. You are probably the 6th or 7th person I have spoken to that reccomends coastal. I will be giving them a call in the next couple of weeks. :)

    I second coastal! I left a Greenwich provider to go with coastal and it was the best decision ever :). Highly recommend, and I'm pretty picky!

    I am a FTM and will be delivering at Stamford. I had a scare recently and had to go into L&D and I couldn't have been happier with the service I received. Very comforting and friendly staff.

    I delivered in Stamford and my OB is one of the head physicians there that oversea the labor and delivery wing. If you would like a referral, PM me and I'll message you his details. I wouldn't trust any one else in the world delivering our first child and I was super lucky to have him and his experience with me

    I had a tough delivery in May- I was at Stamford and was sooo happy with my care
