Maternity leave help!?

Hello I am 34 weeks today and I was planning on working up till 38weeks. However the midwife has advised I take my maternity earlier due to fainting and the job I do. Would I be able to take my maternity leave in the next week or 2 or will I need a note from the gp? I really don't know what to do?

    You need to talk to your supervisor or HR.

    I would talk to HR for steps to take. You can start your leave whenever you want. If you need to take it earlier because of fainting, I would.

    This. Do they respect disability? You can open a disability claim with the help of your OB on certain jobs. I almost had to do this on my job for the exact same reason. But I've found a way to manage it so far (Had to get a new chair - worked wonders but might not work for everybody)

    Talk to your employer. It won't hurt to have your medical documentation ready.

    Talk to your employer (but you'd end up getting less time with your baby).
