This morning I woke up to a little cramping and some spotting... I've wiped a few times and there's spotting each time, very little. Trying not to think the worse, I know they say spotting is normal... Should I be concerned?
While spotting is not 'normal' it does not alway mean a miscarriage. However spotting and cramping together are usually not a good thing. Call your Dr and see what they suggest and want you to do.
Light spotting can be nothing, especially if it is brown (bright red is what they say to look out for). I agree with PP though - call your doctor and talk to someone on the 24 hour nurse line if your doctor's office isn't open to explain hour symptoms and they can help you decide what to do. They will tell you to go to the ER if they are worried about what you are describing. Thinking of you!

I spotted slightly after my first ob appointment (received a pap), and I've also known women who spotted after having sex. Call your doctor and go from there. Try to stay calm in the meantime (next to impossible, I know), but stressing will do you no good no matter the outcome.
I back all previous posters advice. I spotted a bit with my son, called my doctor immediately, and they brought me in for a sono and blood work. Think positive, get ahold of your doctor, and I hope you can get some answers, friend. Keep us updated.
Called the doctor, said I have to wait till Monday call and make an appointment. So nerve wracking! Just going to try to not worry and put up my Christmas decorations!
I should also add that I don't necessarily get cramping, but coughing (caught a nasty cold when I was ovulating) gives me very sharp lower abdominal pain. I also get occasional pain that feels like it is coming from my cervix (pinching feeling). I've heard that cramping in very early pregnancy can be common and is often attributed to hormonal changes altering the ligaments in your pelvic area (stretching out to prepare for pregnancy and labor). I voiced all of this two weeks back at my first appointment and my doctor wasn't the lease bit concerned. Enjoy your decorating and I hope everything goes well for you on Monday!
I agree with previous posters of calling your Dr. I had brown spotting and they put me on pelvic rest which helped. They know what they are looking for Hope everything turns out well and your little bean is sticky as ever.
If the spotting turns to bright red blood, call back and they'll probably want you to go in. Hopefully it's just going to ease up and everything will look good at your appointment. T&Ps.
Went to the doctor today, it's an almost guaranteed miscarriage. I should be 6.4 weeks I'm only showing 4.5. I go back Thur to be 100% if there's no miracle and if it doesn't happen naturally I'll have to get a D&C Friday.

Thanks for all the kind words, they really mean alot to us! We're just trying to be positive and look on the bright side, at least we know we can get pregnant. We just have to wait for that bundle of joy.

Absolutely! I love your positive outlook which can be so hard to have. You are 100% correct you can get pregnant. Hope this one pulls through but if not I hope you get a LO one very soon!
