Re: TWW Friday

  • Month/Cycle: 5/5

    CD/DPO: 23/7 according to FF, but I think 23/6

    Timing: -5,-2,O or -3,-1

Testing: Sometime next week depending on how long I can hold out

R/R/CS: My cousin announced her pregnancy yesterday, so that stung. I figured Thanksgiving would bring some announcements, but I never expected one from anyone in my family. She is a year older than me, and she has two kids, both older than my son, so I just had no idea they were planning on another or trying (but maybe they weren't). Luckily I wasn't there for the actual announcement, but she posted the video on FB last night. DH didn't understand why I was upset. I am happy for her, but I just thought WE would be the ones announcing at Thanksgiving, so I was feeling jealous and sad.

GTKY: What are three things on your dream house must-have list? A covered back deck, a fireplace, and a big bay or picture window in the front. I always call it a Christmas tree window, because I want somewhere to put a huge Christmas tree so you can see it from the front of the house. Right now we have only one front-facing window and it's in the kitchen.

R/R/CS: I'm just not feeling it this month. I think I'll be happy to wrap this month up and try for a September baby.

GTKY: What are three things on your dream house must-have list? A fireplace in the living room, lots of nooks and crannies (I love a house with a lot of corners), and a wrap-around porch.

    CD/DPO: 32ish

    Timing: possibly -2, -1, 0

Testing: I suck. I tested, and BF"?".

R/R/CS: I gave in because of "symptoms". I really should have waited until Saturday or Sunday because my result was actually inconclusive. All I can say is that in the 2+ years I tried to get pregnant with my first, I never had any kind of a line on any test - not even squinting until I was pregnant, and today there was a shadow but I really couldn't make out if it was colored, or if it was just the test strip that sometimes can be seen. I will test again tomorrow morning. The test was a cheap rexall early response test and I found even the control line looked odd, so I'm not banking on this being the real thing.

GTKY: What are three things on your dream house must-have list?

R/R/CS: Holy temp drop, Batman. I'm out.

  • @sldp123 I completely understand how you feel. My SIL just announced her pregnancy last week (they started trying after us and got it the first time). I am over the moon excited for them but as soon as they left I started balling my eyes out...I just don't understand how it is so easy for some people. But I know that it will happen when it's supposed to happen.

    Month/Cycle: 5/5

    CD/DPO: 19/4

  • Month/Cycle: 2/2

    CD/DPO:  30/12

    Timing:  -4, -2, O

    Testing:  EOD until AF

R/R/CS:  I'm continuing to think I didn't O when FF has my dashed crosshairs.  In fact, I'm wondering if its suspected triphasic pattern (that had me SS so hard when I was nauseous both times I woke up last night), was actually me O'ing late on 26.  In which case our timing is none.  Sigh.  But we're still early, so live and learn, right?  That's why I started temping, after all!

GTKY: What are three things on your dream house must-have list?  Okay, so I'm assuming this excludes things that are on my regular house/apartment must-have list (like a dishwasher).
    • Stainless steel counters with lipless sink in the kitchen.

    Month/Cycle: 3/2

    CD/DPO: 49/14

    Timing: -3, 0, +1

Testing: BFN on Wednesday, will test this afternoon when we get home, and then every day until AF.

R/R/CS: Blegh. I was feeling hopeful until my temp drop this morning. Still above CL but I'm worried that's it's the beginning of a drop that will lead to AF. Slept at my mom's house though and it's definitely cooler than my bedroom, so I'm really hoping that's the reason. Although I've only charted temps this cycle, I've been tracking my cycle length and now this is officially my longest cycle in 8 months... I just don't know what to think

Ugh, as much as I'm happy to spend the day eating leftovers, I'm anxious to get home and test and know either way.

  • Congrats @1faceinacrowd! Also, just *reading* your timing is exhausting me. Phew!

Hugs in preparation for AF @chrlyr but they always say you aren't out until you're out so I'll keep some hope alive.

    Month/Cycle: 2/2

    CD/DPO: 26/11

    Timing: -3, -1, 0

    Testing Plans: None.

R/R/CS: I'm trying to decide if I want to start temping again on Sunday so I can be ready for AF to show up or if I want to just enjoy the uninterrupted sleep until she gets here instead...

GTKY: A huge fenced in yard, an open and fully renovated gourmet kitchen, and a seperate laundry room with a sink.

  • Month/Cycle: 7/5th month temping CD/DPO: 28/10 Timing: -3, -2, +1 Testing: I wait for AF, BFNS are too hard on me R/R/CS: I'm really not confident at all this our month. I just feel like there is a bigger reason it's not happening yet for us even though testing this far has said otherwise. I'm just ready for next month. Glad to have plenty to do over the next few days to forget about waiting for AF to show. All of this though also makes me anxious to start trying to do something to make it happen but the RE wants to do more tests & I agree they should be done before moving forward. So we wait. Truly thankful for being busy the next few days & weeks at work & with holidays quickly approaching. GTKY: What are three things on your dream house must-have list? An extra room for gym equipment, bigger garage, bigger master bath to put a really big tub in. :)@MrsDho11 - so looking @ your chart I think FF is right. Your highest temps pre O were CD 6,8, & 15. Then they drop on CD 18 & rise to right at or higher than they had been before O. So I think it's right. A triphasic chart means that there are 2 shifts post O. The initial rise after O is indicated & another rise 7-10 days post O, which is pretty much exactly what your chart reflects, to me anyways. So I'd say it's right. Even though the 2nd rise is higher than the 1st rise, the 1st rise is still significant compared to temps before CD18. @Hummingbird125 I'm curious to see what happens with you!!! ******hope all of you had a great holiday & are enjoying some time off with family & friends. Sorry to those that had to deal with BFP announcements yesterday. I got one from a friend earlier in the week but I pretty much knew it was coming as she & I'd been talking about it since last week. I pray that none of us will be here too much longer & am so great full for a community that I have learned so much from.

@MNturnsVA and @Hummingbird125 - thanks, ladies.  I just went through and took out all my OPKs in case that was skewing it, and FF kept the CHs where they are.  *shrug*  Only time will tell, and I'm telling myself I'll only test EOD from now on, but that's probably a lie.  Hopefully I can knock the SS back out of my head though!
Chart attached for anyone on mobile who cares.

ETA to add that I'm suspicious of CD15 and CD23 temps, but discarding them doesn't do anything, so I left them in.

R/R/CS: ugh, started spotting last night, and a little this morning. Prior to my loss I was having spotting for almost a week before my period pretty consistently. They ran tests and everything came back normal. Since my loss it hasn't happened (the last 2 months) but now I'm afraid it's starting again. However, it's also making me SS because I had spotting around 6/7 dpo with both of my pregnancies so who knows. If this is the start of my period I'm going to try to get some more insight as to what might be going on.

GTKY: What are three things on your dream house must-have list?

DH and I talk about this all the time, HGTV is probably my favorite channel and if I lived in Waco, TX (which I don't, I live in CT), I would take any house that the couple on Fixer Upper design.
But if I had to pick three must haves they would be...a Master bath with a separate tub and shower, a big kitchen with an island with seating, and an attached garage.

  • **benched and lurking**
@Bookhousegirl I'm with you! I'm obssessed with HGTV but it just depresses me. I watch House Hunters and see people in Texas buying 5 bedroom houses for 200k. I live in MD and 200k would barely get me a 3 bedroom townhouse and only if it needs 100k of upgrades! I want the Property Brothers to come save me!

R/R/CS: So my SIL just announced her 3rd pregnancy at Thanksgiving, unplanned I may add. I feel really selfish for being so upset but it was really disappointing when everyone looked to DH and I to also be announcing and we had nothing to announce. I feel like a terrible person but spending all of Thanksgiving around infants on both sides of the family plus the pregnancy announcement just brought me to tears.

GTKY: What are three things on your dream house must-have list?
Jacuzzi Tub in the master bath for sure. DH needs a huge garage. And I need a nice piece of land, hopefully at least a few acres.

  • @MrsDho11 - if taking the OPKS out completely still kept your CH right where they are then I'd guess FF is right. My temps have been all over the place this month & I have not been confident about my OPKS & the only thing giving me CH is when I put the OPKS in. So if you are getting them without OPKS, I really have to agree with FF. are you a mouth breather? Were you overly hot or cold on any of the days you aren't sure about what temps really were? Do you know how long your cycles are normally? @nwegman7878 - sorry about your turkey day...... That's tough. I had a REALLY bad night earlier this week. My mom called & she knows we've been TTC but that's all she knows. We really haven't had many detailed conversations about much of it. So I've been doing physical therapy & met my deductible at the end of oct & had told her that. In our chat the other night she said we should consider going to see a specialist or I talk to my GYN. I felt VERY pressured to spill the beans about what's been going on & it really upset me. I cried for an hour after we got off the phone & was still upset when I went to bed. So upset I cried myself to sleep pretty much that night in DH's arms. I just didn't want her to know as much as I told her because I don't need her asking me 100 questions every time we talk or making me feel more pressured than I already put on myself. I told my little sis that she needed to tell my mom the subject is off limits unless I have something to share. I just can't tell my mom. Myself, I feel like I'll get upset all over again. So I'm sorry that you had to go through that. This journey is hard, for sure. More challenging & more of an emotional roller coaster than I ever expected it to be. I hope that you are feeling better today & that your stay here is short, this board has taught me so many things though that I didn't know before so good for you for being on board. :)

@lecool and @MNturnsVA Thanks for the support. Its hard not to feel selfish when you see all these amazing ladies here struggling and I don't even have an excuse to be angry since we just started trying. It's just difficult knowing that someone so close to you is getting to experience everything that you've wanted. It's been especially hard since my CP last June. The best of luck to you as well. It makes me feel a little less crazy to know that other people feel the same way.

  • @MNturnsVA - yeah, I was surprised the CH stayed when I took out the OPKs, which makes me believe the CH more. This is my second cycle off non-hormonal IUD. Cycles were more like 37ish days, maybe a little more on that, but my periods were also awful and long (like 10 days and heavy). I'm thinking they'll be getting a little shorter, but probably not less than 30 days. CD15 was my first day with the heater on and I turned it up too high-- I was hot. CD23 I was in a hotel, and very cold (not to mention I didn't sleep hardly at all, and I drank water not long before I took my temp because I was sleepy and didn't think about how dumb it was).

    Timing:EOD

Testing: I caved this am...whitest white I've ever seen:(

R/R/CS: Black friday shopping ruined my temp time. I normally temp at 2:30 after 5 hours of sleep. I temped at 4:30 this am after 4 hrs of sleep at it read 97.60. I temped again when I woke at 6:30 and it was 98.4 (6 hours of sleep). My question is which one should I use?  I did have a glass of wine last night. I Still don't understand how to share my FF chart. Ovagraph is so easy to copy & paste so that is below.

  • @dogmomwantinghuman - sorry about the BFN.....it's still early though..... I would go with the 1st temp as you had more than 3 consecutive hours of sleep & it was closest to your normal temping time. So it looks like that would be a temp drop though from yesterday?? I can't really tell. On my iPad & it's not the same as computer.
  • @dogmomwantinghuman Sorry about the BFN, I hate how white they look! I always mentally prepare myself to have at least a squinter to analyze, but nope, stark white every time. To answer your question, I would go with the first temp, since that was when you first woke up after at least three hours of sleep. I had something similar happen last week and that seemed to be the general consensus.

  • @MrsDho11 - I'm going to keep agreeing with FF then based on how long your cycles have the potential to be because if you O'd on CD 26 that would be a pretty short LP. Not impossible for that to be the case but based on everything else, I'm going to go with what FF says. I'm really struggling to trust FF this month myself but thank goodness it's almost over one way or another so I'll know more in a few days. Gotta love the waiting game......

  • MNturnsVA  I keep telling myself it's still early. It was a significant drop from yesterday.

sldp123 I also tell myself it's going to be negative in hopes of not getting my hopes crushed; it never works. I typically don't even bother testing anymore since my temp tells me when AF is coming but since my temp isn't reliable anymore I tested.

Quippery  I've been there around 6 months. I know it takes up to a year but around 6 months I started to get worried. If AF comes I'm pleading to get tested.

@MRSCORKER we grew up in Texas and when we went to go buy a house in Denver I thought my husband was going to move us back... Lol... We had to pause the house search for a while to swallow the humble pill... We always envisioned a really nice house and there we just couldn't! Now we are just living in California for a year for hubby's work, and after seeing the house market here, Denver looks cheap!
