Hi ladies!
It being Thanksgiving tomorrow in USA, I was curious what your Thanksgiving plans are.
Still waiting for your LO to arrive?
LO already arrived?
As for me:
I really wasn't planning anything and turns out my LO arrived the week before, I really didn't have time to think about it.
Turns out my in laws and DH planned it all- so all LO and I have to do is show up, eat and do whatever we want.
I will have the comfort of privacy for BFing- plan to bring a supplemental just in case it's needed. Hopefully not- pumps are arriving today and I hope to have some milk in stock for tomorrow if I get too tired with all the people.
I'm not letting anyone hold LO except the grandparents and the parents.
Re: Thanksgiving (USA) plans
I'm not really looking forward to it but I hope it goes well.
I've got an itching feeling that baby is going to tell me that she's ready like right as the turkey comes out of the oven, though...
Our families wanted to come to us and on Sunday I told them if the baby wasn't here we wanted to be alone. We are thinking of taking my 3.5 year old to the movies and laying low.
Also- absolutely looking forward to snuggling with the husband and LO while watching the parade.
I'm only a "fingertip" dialated, due on Saturday, so it seems tomorrow will be an uneventful Thanksgiving. We're hosting a thanksgiving breakfast in the morning, and spending time with the ILs and immediate family for the rest of the day. I'm just making stuffing and asparagus, so not too much to worry about.
But of course, because she seems pretty comfy in there, I'll probably spend thanksgiving eating a hearty meal of pineapple, Chinese food and balsamic vinegar lol.
If taco soup sounds interesting you can gladly ask for the recipe and I will gladly post it!! It's always a big hit at parties!!
*insert the old bump emoji of a person tapping their fingers on a table*
I use frozen corn if I don't have fresh corn.. And I never add onion and it doesn't hurt the taste if you don't add it!! I use beef broth and I do the little bouillon cubes and they work great!! I also use pinto and black beans instead.. But I froze a lot of this!! My DH loves it!!
Taco soup:
All cans 15 oz
1 can tomatoes
1 can rotel tomatoes
1 can kidney beans
1 can white kidney beans
1 can refried beans
1 cup corn
1 medium onion chopped
1 pouch taco seasoning
2 cups broth.
If you don't drain the beans use less broth. Just mix all in a pan. Don't forget cheese and sour cream and tortilla chips.
Right!! It's amazing!!
