I've been to the OB, I've been to the GP. OB has "no idea." GP thinks it could be PUPPPS or several other things. Did biopsy and blood work (won't know about those things till Monday at the earliest). The itch is REAL! Three seperate patches of little red dots on my abdomen. I am miserable.com
I wasn't really worried until I had two docs "not know" what it was. Which means it could be anything. I know doctors aren't perfct, but COME ON.
I don't mean to dump, but if not here...
Re: A rash for the holidays! Hooray!
Yeah they don't know because skin is a HUGE organ that reacts to practically EVERYTHING in ways that are often completely unique to the person doing the reacting. Case in point, I had a period of severe itching from 2012-2014. I would itch at one spot on my body to an almost unbearable degree and if i scratch it, it started migrating to other parts of my body. The only way to stop it was to ignore it. It was accompanied by hare-trigger rashes. (If i touched my skin, a massive red palmprint would remain for about 10 minutes.) They never found out what it was and it went away on its own. The best theory is that it is somehow related to my IBD and could have been a reaction to something I was eating or a medication i was on.
So don't be too hard on your docs
