Special Things For Baby's First Christmas

Just wondering what special things or traditions everyone is doing for their LO's first Christmas.

We are making a dough ornament with his hamd print for the tree, and will get new PJs to wear on Christmas eve and maybe a book. Just seeing what everyone elses ideas are :)

    I do a new ornament every year for each kid. When they grow up they can take their set of ornaments for their tree at their first home. Some years I make the ornament or they make them. Other years I buy ones that represent a memory from that year.
    We also do jammies and a movie on Christmas eve.

    We are doing new jammies. Carters has some cute ones. We are going to make Christmas ordiments from red ordiments and white paint to do handprint ordiments.

    Babies R Us had a special event on Saturday and I hand-painted a onesie for LO and he's going to wear it for Christmas :)

    I've always done a new ornament every year for DD and she can have them when she moves out. Will do the same thing for this little guy. I also do new PJs every year and pictures are cute the next morning. Not sure about anything else for DS, but I have regular traditions I do. I make blueberry cream cheese french toast bake and bacon every year. I make the French toast and blueberry syrup the night before and just pop it in the oven in the morning and make the bacon in the oven. It allows us to have a special breakfast but without me missing out on the gift opening and playing. This is something I started once DD started really becoming involved with Christmas morning.

    i got ours an ornament and will also get 'Twas the night before Christmas and a Christmas carol to read every year. We aren't having a gifting Christmas because I don't get paid for maternity leave and I'm out 3 months.

    I'm going to start the 4 gifts (something to wear, something to read, something you want, something you need) from mom and dad. I got her pjs and the 12 nights of Christmas in Illinois (book) for Christmas Eve.
    I really like the ornament idea. I might have to steal that :)

    We do pj's that the kids get to open on Christmas Eve. I also have a bracket that I started with my oldest and put a charm on it every year. I will start one with with this LO.

    We too are going to do the salt dough hand/foot print ornament. With the wonderful world of Pinterest I think I will do a homemade ornament every year. Plus I found some cute reindeer butt pj's at kohls for Christmas Eve and probably to hang out in all Christmas Day :)

    We are doing special PJs, the four gifts (something you want, need, wear, read) and a yearly ornament. We also made him a special Santa cookie plate at the paint your own pottery place.

    We're doing a Christmas box on Christmas Eve (PJ's, books, and a toy this year), and salt dough ornaments for our own tree and one for each of the grandparents.
