How are you feeling? Okay- nausea at night, vaginal pain/pressure, RLP but the nausea is getting a little better so we're good.

Rants/Raves? Baby is good, so I'm good :)

How far along are you? 11 weeks, 5 days

How are you feeling? Okay... Symptoms come and go. When I'm nauseous and exhausted, I'm grumpy. When I have a day when the nauseousness disappears, I get nervous that something could be wrong. I'm not happy either way I guess.

Rants/Raves? Nothing much. I can't wait for DH's and my 4 day weekend and just hang out at home (although we'll see how relaxing it is- DS doesn't really respect relaxing days at home).

  • Hi ladies!  I haven't posted in a while because I was traveling internationally for several weeks.  H and I went to India to be with his family for Diwali.  I would NOT recommend international travel to a country like India (and I've been there before several times) in the first trimester.  It was hellish at times, especially with Celiac disease.  I also got an infection while there and visiting a hospital in another country is scary.  Thankfully, all is well with baby...I plan on posting a lot more now that I'm back.

How far along are you? 12 weeks.  :)

How are you feeling? Tired (jet lag doesn't help) and still nauseas, which I hope goes away.  I'm wanting to eat all the things for Thanksgiving so I hope my stomach cooperates.   I've lost about 5lb during the first trimester because of this nauseau.  I eat high-calorie meals where I can to make up for it but I was hoping to put the 5lb back on Thanksgiving.  ;)

Rants/Raves? I'm excited for Thanksgiving!  My only rant is this lady at the gym who was a complete biatch to a newbie at spin class recently.  She was hogging all the bikes for her "friends" who were late for the class and a real brat about it.

GTKY: Show us the GIF that best describes your personality! I seem to alternate between these two feelings lately...

@laurenm2123 Glad to hear the nausea is getting better!
@alsbaldwin I hope you get your relaxation this weekend!
@DeePaddy24 Mobile gif'ing is like level 10 on the gif board for me...i can't figure it out either.
@samsonator Sorry you're so sore lately. Enjoy your nice long weekend though!

Also, I'm loving the overall trend of sarcasm and food GIFs.

How are you feeling? Aside from complete exhaustion and sore boobs I've really had pretty mild symptoms so far but literally every morning this week I've barfed. I thought things were supposed to get better as you got further along, not worse!

Rants/Raves: Excited for a day off tomorrow! Not excited to go back on Friday. Blah.

GTKY: I'm on mobile, so no gifs for me.

How are you feeling? Blegh. I called out of work yesterday bc I was so run down from the weekend and felt nauseous and like I need time to just be in my bed. I haven't called out of work in over 2 years, so I deserved it.  I'm also getting a lot of that fun round ligament pain - it definitely feels like a rubber band snapping anytime I sneeze or move suddenly, its made me afraid to get out of bed.

Rants / Raves / Positive Vibes:Poor DH asked me what I wanted for dinner, he went to the store and made what I requested, only for me to take a few bites and feel too sick to have anymore. He's such a good sport but I felt like a jerk. On the positive side we are telling our families tomorrow!!! We split the holiday (1/2 the day with DH's family, 1/2 the day with mine) so we'll get to reveal twice :) Looking forward to the cat being out of the bag with the family and truly hoping they can keep it quiet from anyone else until we're ready closer to Christmas to reveal! And I'm excited for a short work week & long weekend!!

How are you feeling?  Okay!  I was sick again yesterday.  So Monday night I developed a sore throat, and through the night it got so bad I could barely swallow.  Sigh. :( I took off from work and slept until 1PM yesterday.  Then went to bed again at 9pm.  I developed a cough last night, but the sore throat is basically gone.  I can deal with the cough, but the sore throat... No thanks!  I think I'm on the up & up and thank goodness, because tomorrow is THANKSGIVING!!!!  Foooood!!!!!!

As far as pregnancy symptoms go, I'm constipated (ugh...), sleepy, and some tender breasts. That's about it, though!

Rants/Raves? Nah.. Just that this is the second time I've been sick in 2 months. >_> Stupid lower immune system.

    ****QUESTION BELOW****

I've had a mild-moderate lower backache for a few days, as well as mild abdominal cramping (feels like very light period cramps).  Doctor says it's nothing to worry about in the absence of any other symptoms (most notably, spotting or bleeding), but of course I'm still super freaked out.  She said it is likely just my uterus contracting and stretching and starting to push on other things.  From what I've read, it does
not sound like RLP (it's not sharp and not on the sides), but more like "accommodation pain."  I'm almost 11 weeks.  Anyone else starting to have these kinds of symptoms?

  • How far along are you?
    I'm 9 weeks today

    How are you feeling?
My nose is completely stuffed up, but at least I can't smell anything so I'm not gagging at every scent like I was yesterday. My boobs are a bit sore, too.

     Rants/Raves?
I'm SICK. Stuffy nose, cough ... the good stuff. Ugh. Yesterday was my very first appointment. I only got blood and urine tests done, but finally got to schedule the appointment for my first u/s - December 8th! I can't wait :-)

    How are you feeling?
RLP is definitely beginning, otherwise no changes. Thanksgiving will be interesting. DH and I have a bet as to how long I'll go before I just start pushing food around my plate in circles like a child because that's what I've been doing recently.

    Rants/Raves?
Woo weekend, but not looking forward to the 4-5 hour trip to my parents tonight. I wanted to leave last night and not have as much traffic but DH changed jobs right before we got married and took all his vacation time plus a bunch he hadn't accrued yet for our honeymoon. He's still -9 hours so no extra time with my family for me.

  • @emp2642 - I'm experience pain like you are describing and have been for a week or two.  I thankfully also don't have spotting or bleeding.  I know its hard not to freak out and I worry every time I feel cramping but your uterus is trying to expand.
  • @emp2642 I wouldn't be too worried about it. For the last few days I've had some mild cramping, like period cramps. As soon as I unbutton my pants it feels a little bit better lol But if you're not spotting or bleeding and your doctory isn't concerned, it's likely just your uterus making room for that little human ;)

  • @Meglit89 This is my first time getting sick and I just know there will be more. We are going up to Maryland (from Georgia) for Christmas and I was complaining to my husband that I know I will get sick again either during or after that trip. I just have a feeling. I had a sore throat as well, but it went away pretty fast *knocking on wood* I hope you get well soon!!

    How are you feeling?
Pretty good...some tummy aches lately and still always cold but nothing too bad.

    Rants/Raves?
I noticed my blump has taken on a new shape - it's poking out more in the middle and I can see a faint line on either side that is starting to look more defined. Or it could've been that I hadn't gone to the bathroom yet. But still exciting to see a little sneak preview of what my bump will look like! (Although I'm sure I'll be wanting my waist back in a few months.)

  • Oh my goodness Knottie, I am so glad to hear I'm not the only one always cold!!  I find when I'm in a warm place, my other symptoms are so much easier to manage.  My mom keeps the house freezing and I felt so sick all weekend when I visited.

    How are you feeling?
Was soo nauseated all weekend.  Now I just had a huge lunch and feel like I could eat it all over again.  My lower back aches right now... always something.  Oh, and I continue to worry about every little thing because of my 2 mmcs (I had one healthy daughter between them but I'm still paranoid).

    Rants/Raves?
Hiding my belly.  It's definitely there (I look like I remember looking at 16 weeks with my daughter) and I feel ridiculous at work trying to keep it covert all the time.
Rave- I can now post in here finally (but I don't know how to change my profile pic!)

  • ** Question! **

How much water (or fluids) are you guys consuming daily? My doctor said "drink even more than you think is too much" and "until your urine is clear" I have the hardest time with this and am wondering, a) how much WATER are you actually consuming daily? (I've been aiming for 80 ounces but come in closer to 50oz) also, are you counting other liquids towards your water intake (i.e I drink Milk, and Lemonade daily too - should this offset the need for so much water)?

Interested to hear your thoughts before I drown myself (not literally I know, but with MS its hard to get this many fluids down

How are you feeling?  Pretty good. The blump is growing this week. Yesterday I had to change before work because I totally looked pregnant and this time even DH thought so. Just a couple more weeks until I'll be telling everyone at work...

Rants/Raves?  I'm working from home today and I'm still in my pjs. It's the best. I'm going to take a nap soon too. And Thanksgiving, of course! Yay food!

I try to drink 128 oz of water, but get closer to 70-90ish a day. I need to drink right around a gallon a day though because I've had issues with kidney stones in the past, so you might not want to aim that high. Edited to add- I don't count other drinks in with that, but that's just me. I've heard that some drinks make you feel more dehydrated (maybe because of sugar content?), so that's my reasoning... also because my doctor has told me drink lots of water, not lemonade or milk.

    **Question Below!**

How far along are you? 10w, 1d

How are you feeling? Okay. Here's my question - anyone else have nausea get worse around 9-10 weeks?! This should still go away soon, right?! Ugh. I don't actually vomit, but I feel like I need to from about 10 am until I wake up the next morning. It's getting old quickly! Oh and I have no food aversions. Like, zero. I want to eat all the foods (and then I want to throw them all up.)

Rants/Raves? I teach kindergarten and it's been so unbelievably nice to have this week off!

    image
  • @wepplo, my nausea has also gotten worst over the past week or so (I'm 10.5 weeks).  It was minimal before and kept at bay by eating all day long... now I'm pretty much sick to my stomach all day no matter how often or what I eat.  Thought I had escaped it, but I guess not!

This sounds like madness to me. I've heard fitness nuts advocating this but there's not really science behind it, as far as I can tell (someone feel free to point me to studies that suggest otherwise, as this is something that has actually been driving me crazy because there are so many "recommendations" and not a lot of facts). I've never heard of a doctor insisting you drown yourself in water?? Especially if you're nauseated, that's a great way to just make yourself throw up and make it harder to get down any real calories. Here's a decent (short) read on water recommendations: https://www.medicaldaily.com/how-much-water-should-you-drink-each-day-4-6-glasses-ideal-researchers-say-344822

And yes, all fluids hydrate you. Even water-containing foods (read: virtually all foods) hydrate you to some extent.

Think of it this way: water is absolutely essential to your survival. Lack of it will kill you quickly. So you can probably trust your body to tell you when you need some (ie thirst).

I didn't barf or even really feel that nauseous until Monday (I'm 10w4d). I've barfed every morning after breakfast this week. I'm hoping it subsides as it's "supposed to" fairly soon and doesn't last too long.

I've had multiple doctors say half your weight in oz is enough and that should make pale urine. If your urine is still dark after drinking that much then you may want to get checked out.
