Positive beta but I've been spotting for three days?

My ET was last Friday and I had my first beta yesterday (RE doesn't do the full 2ww). Got a positive with HCG at 39.7 which he said is good for my first one. Two days before that I was spotting and now this morning I wake up to quite a bit of brownish/pinkish blood. During ER my uterus got poked a couple of times so could it be old blood? My next beta isn't until Monday and I really don't want to spend the rest of this week and the weekend worrying

If I take another HPT, when should I do it? I did one at 5dp5dt and it was a positive so any time I test now should be a positive, right?

So worried that I maybe did something wrong to mess this up

Sorry ur going through that! There is no way to say for sure... BUT speaking from experience, it is super common to have ivf-related spotting like that. So I definitely wouldn't give up any hope.. for now you are pregnant and that's huge. Congrats!

The same thing happened to me, and I too went to forums all over the web and try to look for answers, all the responses were always about how it is fine, it is super common to be spotting and bleeding in early pregnancy, there is nothing to worry about. I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks. So while the majority of the time there is no problem, sometimes there is. Red blood is definitly more worrisome than brown blood, that was what my RE and nurse warned me about, when it started being red they put me on more Estrogen and Progesterone and I stopped bleeding, but still had a miscarriage later.

I do not mean to be a downer, or make you worry, but I just wish someone would of said that to me back then, so that it was not so hard when it did happen. I felt betrayed, I know it sounds silly. It is hard to know this early if there is a problem or no, but I hope so so much that it all will be fine for you. If you keep getting good Beta numbers, that is a good sign!

I had spotting the day after I found out and up until 5 weeks. It was a hematoma in my uterus which is healed itself up. They are very common with IVF I was told by my doctor.

I understand how you are feeling, the wait is horrible, and unfortunately if you are like me it is hard to think about other things, but Monday will come and you know a little more, I really hope it is good news.

I don't want to be even more of a downer, but the answer you may get on Monday may be, "We have to wait and see again"

The brownish/pink has turned to red and now there is a lot of it Thanks for your response. Still trying to hold out hope while I wait to hear back from our RE.

@alyeena Thank you so much for your answer. My RE told me to try and stay calm until my next beta as it could be nothing. It is clearly red and hasn't stopped. I was hoping he would give me some possible answers rather than have me wait until Monday. I just want as much information as I can get at this point so at least I'm not shocked at the outcome.
