I am 18+3 today and I think i got some BH yesterday and this morning. I was laying down last night and the right side of my uterus got really hard then went away a few sec later. Didn't last long. Then this morning something similar but the my whole uterus (across the bottom). Not sure if it was the baby, or the bloating due to constipation/gas or if it was really BHs. I talked to the nurse who made it sound like it was to early to have them but the doc said to go to the ER if i get more than 5 in an hour. They don't hurt or anything, just feel this tight feeling then goes away. I have never been a good water drinker (pre-pregnancy) but I have been drinking tons since I found out. I was laying down in both instances. I kinda know what a contraction feels like...i had contractions during my periods and this felt nothing like that, not painful just tight and uncomfortable. I haven't had one since this morning (i think) but finally had a BM and i feel baby move/kick. No blood or excessive discharge out of the normal. Anyone else have these early on? My next doc appointment is Dec 14.
Re: Braxton Hicks already?
Last pregnancy I would have them anytime I moved toward the end. Starting from 32ish weeks on, I would have about 10-15 an hour, at least! My doctor was never concerned. I never rushed to the hospital after having 4 in an hour and I carried that baby full term.
My dr. Told me that the only time I should be worried is if they accompanied by a lot of weird discharge/blood(mucus plug) or if they start to get really painful and crampy(real contractions).
Some women are prone to having BH and a lot of them! Try not to worry about it too much lol. Easier said then done I know
