How do you shower??

I just want a shower long enough to wash from head to toe! My LO hates her bouncer and I want to be able to peek out and see her. She usually starts crying 2 minutes in...how are you all making this work?!?

Re: How do you shower??

  • Honestly, I have been using the bouncer If no one else is around. Where does LO nap? Could you shower during nap time?

  • I either use the bouncer or I wait for DH to get home. I usually take my showers at night.
  • I use the bouncer. Do you have anything portable like that you could put baby in? Or lay them in their crib/bassinet. You know they are safe and you can get clean and feel human again.
  • I put him in the bouncer after he has eaten in the mornings and keep peeking out the shower curtain
  • I also use the bouncer, but I have gotten good at very quick showers! DD isn't a huge fan of the bouncer but gives me just enough time to take a quick shower.

  • I also use a bouncer, this morning he was fine until the last few minutes, so I rinsed off and got out. That's where he is when ever I take a shower. When he is really fussy I wait until my husband comes home or I ask my mom to come over after work.
  • Usually SO and I shower after we get LO down for his first stretch of sleep at night. Sometimes I'll do it during the day when he naps. I'll either put him in the pack and play or in his crib and jump in.
  • DH doesn't usually leave for work until 11am so he'll usually shower while I feed her. Then he gets her dressed for the day while I shower. On days that he has to leave earlier I just skip the
  • I put her in her bassinet after shes eaten and swaddled. Then wheel it into the bathroom. She loves the sound of the shower, so she stays content long enough for me to shower. Sometimes if she's still asleep, I leave the shoes running while I get dressed and clean up the house. My water bill is going to be huge!
  • @waltersmom83 my daughter likes the sound of the shower too. I think she also likes the warmth in the bathroom too. She'll let me take some nice long showers.
  • I take showers when dd is napping in the pack n play. I try to when she's in the bouncer sometimes but she usually cries before I'm done.
  • My little guy is starting to get on a schedule, I get up early and shower. Or I use his bouncer.
  • Baby View! I have the app, but this is a video. I put him in a bouncy and let him watch this. It holds his attention for at least 8 minutes. https://youtu.be/Jv_iVQdkuuM
  • I leave LO in the RNP if she's asleep, my showers aren't that long. If she's awake, I'll just bring it into the bathroom with me so that I can keep an eye on her. Usually I just wait until DH is around so he can watch her for a few minutes.
  • Lo likes to nap on me. The only way to manage a shower is leave him w Dh or use his stroller (has a bassinet) to wheel him into the bathroom. I can keep an eye on him. This option gives me 3 min or less but I feel better just getting this rinse rather than going without.

  • My LOs room is across from the bathroom. He just lays in his crib. I keep both doors open. He's been crying a couple times when I get out but usually he just chills.
  • We have a swing in our room that I can see from the shower. I strap him in, turn on the vibration and the music and he is usually good to go. I always do it right after a feeding to make sure he is nice and full - he'll usually be asleep by the time I am done showering.
  • My LO loves the sound of the shower. She usually lays on the floor on a blanket. By the time I'm done showering she starts to get fussy so I put her in her bouncer with her binki and I have to leave the shower on while I get dressed and ready.
