I hear multiple people talk about how "LO slept through the night" only to proceed to say "but woke up at midnight, 4am" for feedings. To me thats not through the nice. Its nice stretches, but i comsoder through the night an uninterrupted at least 6.hours. (which ive yet to see, but.got almost 5 tonight)
What do you consider sleeping through the night?
Re: What do you consider sleeping through the night?
A night interrupted only by a quick feed or two without a diaper change is pretty spectacular, but I agree it's not "sleeping through the night".
My LO is 7 weeks and few days and still waking up every 2-3 hours at night and not all those times are always for a feed. We have tried everything from keeping lights dim, white noise, keeping her swaddled.... I know she will sleep a little longer when she's ready but hoping for more restful nights soon as she will be 8 weeks this Friday .... Praying for a 5 hour stretch hopefully sometime soon!
More sometimes he would only eat an extra oz but then he would sleep better. My issue with him now is pooping , he cries bloody murder when going and only going once a day. I'm thinking I might have to switch formula again. I feel bad for him..
I guess she's big girl and needs more ...
My LO is 8 weeks today and we are still looking for longer stretches at night. She tends to sleep soundly for the first stretch at night 9-1. However for the second stretch from 2-5ish she tends to stay asleep with eyes closed but fusses every so often. She may toss and turn a little or move head side to side or even grunt. We try picking her up and changing diaper or re-swaddling her / changing her position at night but it doesn't seem to stop the fussing. She keeps her eyes closed and doesn't cry and appears to be sleeping still during this. My question - should we just leave her be and let her fuss quietly every so often ... Is it normal for her to have restless sleep like that halfway through the night at this age? It's always the second half of her sleeping from 2-5 only!
Sorry for long post - just hesitant to be happy that she's sleep long at least those stretches but not sure if we were jumping the gun in thinking she's actually sleeping with only 2 wake/feed times!
Might be worth a shot of it can buy you a longer stretch.
