Nursing tops...what are you wearing??

What's everyone wearing to make breast feeding easier when you're out and about? Any nursing tops you love? If so, where are they from? Any tops you have found that weren't intended to be nursing tops but work great anyways? I have nursing tanks that I wear around the house, but I need shirts to wear out and about that are less revealing and warmer! I hate having to take a top layer off over my head to get to what is underneath. It's too much to juggle while holding a little one.

Re: Nursing tops...what are you wearing??

  • Try just pulling the top layer up and then rolling it under itself to hold it up. That's what I do most of the time and it's so much less annoying than actually taking it off.

I feel like I don't love any of my nursing clothes except my sleep nursing bras. They are just thin cotton. I've yet to find a regular nursing bra that I don't hate. Hopefully others have some suggestions because I could use some.

  • I've been wearing nursing camis (from H&M) and cardigans or button up shirts. I've also been wearing low cut shirts that I can just pull down. I really like my camis from H&M.
  • Gap has my favorite nursing tank and tee

This is me. I have stopped wearing a nursing bra during the day. I use the nursing tanks from target. @mmcknight do the H&M tanks run true to size? I've been considering ordering but am worried they will be too small!

  • @tracij12 they are pretty true to size. I haven't had a problem with shrinking but I wash everything in cold water so I think that helps.
  • I love the nursing tanks. I wear it under my clothes so when I pull my shirt up, my belly isn't exposed. I bought a brand called Glamourmom from my local shop, but I feel they are really tight around the rib cage. I'll have to check out H&M!

I wear a loose sports bra, regular cami, v-neck shirt, and zip up sweatshirt or cardigan. I just push down the bra/cami/shirt and pull my breast out of the top and then tuck LO's head in the side of my outerlayer for some modesty. I don't have anything designed for nursing and pretty much just shop at old navy or target.
  • Kohls have maternity tanks on sale now.
  • I wear a nursing bra and regular tank both from target. I pull up my regular shirt and pull down my tank top and nursing bra. Works the best!
